Alright so there are pics going around online, and I gotta say I'm not impressed with this wave. Blowtorch is awesome but the rest is pretty weak.

Agreed.  Blowtorch is the only figure I "must" have from this set.

Make that 3 of us.

Perhaps I'll develop some sort of tie to the Resolute figures when the toon comes out, but right now they just look like wasted slots to me.  There are so many classics I would rather see there.
I'm happy to see a single carded Torch but the colors are a little "loud".

I don't mind admitting; I kind of like the Resolute figures.  They're putting some nice detail into them, from what I can tell.  I'm on the fence, but I'm sure once I see them in store and in my hand, they'll be hard to resist.

I'm really anxious to start seeing some revision packs, in store.  I need some of those early figures I missed out on!

I'm with you Canucklehead.  I am happy to see some new scupts out for a change (I know, there has been some new ones in the 25th Anniversary line....).

Duke looks good.  Not sure about CC in his dress (or is it s kilt?)

Resolute might be new sculpts but its the same characters that have been made into figure form several times.  This is why I am not Gung Ho on the Resolute figures yet.

Well, if they're going to roll out a new line based on a new series, they may as well start with their big sellers to build interest.  It'll be cool to see a wider variety of characters, and hopefully they'll come once the series gains a little ground

While I too am not willing to tattoo a globe on my bare chest and start talking with a Cajun accent, I really like the aesthetic of the figures, and if they don't completely suck I will collect some of them as a subset. It's the first duke that I've liked in a while.

My problems aren't with the style but the execution. In the art, Duke is wearing a brown shirt under his lighter brown shirt - which looks really cool... On the figure, he's wearing a really short sleeved shirt and a really long brown elbow pad, because there's a strip of flesh between the two shirts. Little things like that can ruin a great figure for me. Too many of them, and I'll lose interest in picking up the whole line.

And the Cobra commander holds no interest for me. I think I've bought my last one till the movie.
