This is interesting, considering that just 6 months ago Hasbro was hiring--there were numerous job postings on Linkedin for positions at Hasbro--most in the Rhode Island offices.

Suddenly the plan to get to work for Hasbro doesn't seem as feasible.

This isn't really too surprising though.  Lots of talk of sluggish sales lately.

Well, Mark Weber, the former McFarlane Sports Brand Manager just joined Hasbro on the Transformers side.

Nice guy.  Took time to answer about McFarlane sports toys on the official spawn board until it was turfed late last year.

The decline of toy sales doesn't surprise me in 2012.  It will continue to go downhill with the various electronic gadgets out there.

The 7 year old at Dalton's daycare received some cash at Christmas this past year. He went out and bought an Ipod. Not a good sign for toys.

They should bring back action figure commercials on TV.
They should stop treating GI Joe like a third class toy and start to build around the brand.

Totally agree. I have always told my boys that the best toy is in their head
