When I was a kid, I was watching a tv show. I can't remember the name, so any help would be appreciate. Here are more info:
- The drawing looked like Astroboy (Astro). So probably (surely) made in Japan.
- The show was air in the 1980's.
- The main characters were, I think, a guy (dressed in blue) and a girl (dressed in pink).
- They were both police officer (or working with the police). I remember the were always talking about Interpol (at that time I didn't know what it was).
- They had a car (without wheels), with doors opening from bottom to top.
- Action was in the future (of course!).
Do you know what I'm talking about?

I asked the other guys in my office (all children of the 70's/80's) and we came up with nothing.
The closest suggestion was COPS, but I ruled that one out based on some of your description.

I'm not sure, based on your description. But if you're sure it's anime, you might want to reach out to the anime community. Try googling 80's anime and hitting up one of the forums.

It's not COPS. Both main character were slim. The guy was brown hait and the girl was blonde (I think). I little bit like in Albator...
