Title: GI JOE Retaliation is now on NETFLIX Canada

-Gi joe RETALIATION
Finally... I was finally able to watch this before deciding if to own it on Dvd. Let's just say for now that Pacific Rim is still the worst movie of all Hollywood productions in my books. This one, had it not been for the first Joe movie that came to be, would've been better received by everyone IMHO. I really didn't mind the Joe "purge" at all. What bothered me the MOST was the choice of cast for the Blind Master. The Arashikage clan is supposed to be a Japanese clan, and its master is....a black guy? It felt out of place, that's all, much like that feeling that you're watching a movie were the universe feels sort of real, and then, big close-up on the Blind Master, and it's back to reality because the movie just lost some of its credibility all of a sudden. Other than that, I enjoyed it, and was rather happy that the other characters from the first movie were not mentionned nor seen in this one.

The Extended Edition is seriously much better. (And I liked the Theatrical one!)
The extra 15 minutes should of been left in, IMHO.

Thank you Sundance.

Perhaps that the blind master in the movie seemed out of place for me because I found that his voice was about too theatrical for my liking. Something seemed out of place for sure. And if he's indeed already a black guy in the comics then this must be a good effort from the director to maintain some continuity.

@ The Mike and Silentdusty: The extended edition that you own comes in a DVD & Blue-Ray combo ? And is there still time to order the mail-away dog tags? It's fun to get stuff like that in the mail sometimes :)

You just can't capture the same sort of magic that I felt when I was a kid and this made me realize that.

I've got a copy of it but I haven't been able to bring myself to watching it since I saw it at the movies.
