Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Is it my fault or the dealers?
« on: August 09, 2010, 10:47:50 PM »
So, i picked up a lot of the stuff at the Can Joe Con that I'm very happy with...that being said, I just discovered that two pieces that I bought are not what the dealer claimed.

Bear in mind that although I am a big fan of the ARAH line, I do not have every figure and every accesory memorized.  When I ask a dealer if the figure is complete and he says "yes", I believe him.  If I ask if they are all original parts with no accessory pack stuff and he says "yes", I believe him.  In this case, I was lied to twice.  One figure was missing his backpack, and the other has a helmet that is not the original.

Not much i can do about this now, as the dealer was from Quebec.  Just wondering if you think the dealer is at fault for misrepresenting, or should I be walking around with Bellamo's guide the whole time to ensure I don't get screwed?

Items Wanted / Rattler Battle Damage Parts
« on: August 09, 2010, 10:06:31 PM »
Hey there,

I picked up a sweet (almost) complete Rattler at the Can Joe Con on the weekend.  The only things missing were the two "battle damaged" hatches.  If anyone has these, please let me know and thanks!  I'm good for trade or purchase.

Items Wanted / SNAKE Armour Wanted...and no, not the Joe Con one
« on: August 09, 2010, 09:56:32 PM »
My son was flipping though my Bellamo Joe Guide, and decided he wanted a SNAKE Armour.  Does anyone have a cheap original armour for sale, or one of the black sets from Target?  If so, please PM me and thanks!

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Con Sets On E-Bay
« on: August 08, 2010, 03:27:55 PM »
Last night 2 con sets were listed, along with a set from the 2009 Can Joe Con.  I don't expect everyone to keep their set as I plan to do with mine, but still, I'm disgusted by the idea that somone stood in line for hours just to get a set and then flip it mere hours later.  I know it happens all the time, and it's one of the pitfalls when a small intimate gathering of friends at a "Joe Meet" grows to "Convenion Size", but knowing how much time, effort and passion the CJC crew puts in to these things, it still pisses me off.  Thoughts?

Ontario / Looking for 25th anniversaru figures in the hamilton area
« on: October 21, 2009, 09:16:59 PM »
hey there!

i got my kid into watching the new dvd's from shout factory, and shortsightedly, did not collect any 25th anniversary figs...now he wants the characters he sees on the cartoon (Cobra Commander, Destro, Duke, etc, ) but all I can find at Walmart and the like are Rise of Cobra figs.  He plans to ask Santa for a bunch, and was wondering if you knew of any stores still stocking them...let me know and thanks!
