Remainder of wave 9...a BBQ, Bazooka and Wild bill.

Also a fresh case of wave 8 was on the floor ready to be processed. Thats the Hiss Driver/Viper/Spirit etc wave.

There is a Hiss there as well with a headless driver. The head is in the box, you may be able to snag it at a discount.

This is as of 12am, Sept 26.

Ontario / Brantford Walmart has wave 8 singles now!
« on: June 01, 2008, 12:23:54 PM »
Brantford 24/7 Walmart has 2 cases of wave 8 sitting on pegs as of this message. I left everything except the Vipers and the Python Patrol troops as those are the only wave 8 figs I don't have.

Have at em

General Joe Talk / Hasbro is killing the 25th line in Canada.
« on: April 12, 2008, 04:14:27 PM »
I went to my local Walmart the other day and noticed they had removed the 25th pegs (all 2 of em). I had an opportunity to chat with the inventory controller for that store and this is basically what he said;

He said it is great that the toys sell out the day they come in, but not so much when they only get 8 units once a month or so. He said that by the time they pay someone to bring them off the truck, someone to inventory them and put them on the shelves, and then someone to check inventory and ok the order for more, they are not making anything on the firgures at all. It's just not a viable product next to the other toys that they get a lot of and sell a lot of. He said that with the movie coming out, it should change all that, but for now they have stopped ordering refresh cases (for that store at least).

It is kind of interesting and makes a lot of sense, unfortunately.

General Joe Talk / I'm done hunting foe 25th, here is why...
« on: February 27, 2008, 06:40:02 PM »
I'll use wave 2/08 as an example since I just received it.

Store bought (If I could find them).

7.99 + 1.11 tax X 8 figs in the wave = 72.80 CAD

From BBTS.com

48 + 16 shipping + 11 customs fees = 75 US = 73.56 CAD (current exchange)

A difference of a whopping  +.76.

I have to be honest, between my family and work I just don't have time for the hunt anymore. I still check stores for army builders but that is about it. I'm sick of one wave of 8 figs showing up once a month in the stores and then having to try to beat scalpers to the figs.

Now these number are indicative of shipping to Southern Ontario, so your mileage may vary with shipping and brokerage. If you are in the right place, I think it is a decent alternative to the hunt.

Items Wanted / Wanted - Defiant Parts, Flagg Complete + Others March 10
« on: February 11, 2008, 08:55:27 PM »
I am looking for complete or very near complete Defiant Complex and USS Flagg. I expect normal play wear. I am located in Ontario. PM or reply here.

I am also always on the look out for complete, unbroken aircraft ie. Rattlers, Skystrykers, Tomahawks, X19, Condor, etc etc. Anything airforce.

EDIT MARCH 10:

No longer need a defiant however I am looking for these parts:

1 x hidden cannon on shuttle

2 x turret guns that hang on the bottom of the gantry (red ones) unbroken

1 x gun chair from gantry (ones with the big double barrels)

2 x gun mounts that are on the top of the gantry doors (the ones that are on the top when they are closed, not the ones at the ends)

I am also on a big push for Cobra Rattler aircraft. Help me build an airforce!
