Items Wanted / Is anyone out there?
« on: January 23, 2021, 09:15:06 PM »
Hi all
I haven't posted here in years! I see the board is pretty dead but my old login info worked. I have been looking at getting back into collecting some old Joes. The prices on ebay seem pretty insane and of course the shipping cost is even worse. I don't know how one figure can cost $20 or more to ship.
Anyway, if anyone is selling any figures between 82-94 let me know. I am not looking for vehicles at this time. I am looking for complete figures.
Thanks.

Do you still have these for sale? If so are they complete? Good condition?

I subscribed. I get my figures sent to a US address and I am sure I will get nailed for taxes once I get them shipped up. I believe the next two figures will be shipped out soon. I never subscribed to the sets before. I wish I had.

I think 3D printing is the future of toys. I to wonder where things will lead.

I changed my mind since I started this post. I want to go back and collect the 82-94 figures again. I will start slow, at least that is what I am hoping. Seeing the vintage stuff again still lights my fire. I have been looking at ebay and bought a few things but it seems like there is lot of repo stuff on there in the weapons department. You have to really watch what weapons are being included even when the figure says complete. Thankfully the Yo Joe site and the collector's books are available to me. The prices also seem all over the place. It is difficult to sort through it all sometimes but at the same time I find that kind of fun and that is why I like collecting. The thrill of the hunt I guess.

So, now that G.I. Joe seems to be on the back burner for Hasbro what are you guys doing with you collection these days? Myself, I never really collected anything from the Rise of Cobra line so I was thinking of getting a few vehicles. Ebay seems to have a few decent prices on things. The movie just didn't do it for me though. It wasn't really G.I. Joe to me but some of the toys look pretty good.

The Kre-O stuff looks very cool but unfortunately I don't have much room for it. Overall, how do you guys like it?

I am very interested to see what they have planned. A new cartoon would be great.

It seems like other boards have less traffic as well. May be just a low in the cycle as previously mentioned.

I wonder if you can copy and paste your original message. When pasting it you can then take out the stuff you sold.

I think it comes down to how you teach your children about the subject. If you totally ignore it they are not learning about it and other related aspects of the subject. I believe that is ok for children to be exposed to this kind of stuff. It is how you educate them on the views and various consequences of real war that is beneficial. I find that in life the more a person knows and learns the more open they are open to other view points. In my job I always tell my customers that the more they know about what I am selling them the better it is for everyone involved. After all knowing is half the battle.
