It was on my list of things to do this weekend, but my wife reminded me about - the chaos that would be Toronto streets, so sadly I stayed clear.

Found some today - Dunville Ontario.
Picked up two, the paint version of these figures is way better than the other version, and the clear/red Human Torch is a nice effect.
I also like the Thing with Trench Coat and funky sun glasses.

That is great - it was originally a Wal-mart US only exclusive!

Went to Giant Tiger here in Mississauga, and they didn't have any - and the stock boy who was restocking the toy section, had no clue what I was talking about :-(.  I might be driving to Kitchener within the next week.

Wow - I am thinking that it is the version that I never was able to track down.

Was it this one

or this one

And then - if it is the second one - I must head to this Giant Tiger tomorrow![/url]

I am assuming this is the set with Dr. Doom, Robbie the Robot along with the Fantastic Four - not the US Wal-Mart exclusive box set that only had the core 4 members in the dark blue costumes.

At $19.99 that is a good price as you get 5 Marvel legends - plus it is one of the few ways to get the Invisible woman.

Thats awesome, glad to hear the good news - and BTW love the subject name of this thread!

I am in shock and have been for a couple of days now.

My selfish first reaction was "What?  You Can't!, What the hell am I going to do?"
Then the more I thought about it, the more I am actually really happy for Mike, I worked retail for many years, and was eventually the general manager of one of the largest computer shops in Canada - and I hated it.
It wasn't that I hated dealing with individual people, it was the fact that I had to deal with everyone who came through the door, good or bad.  And the 5-6 day a week grind of being the "responsible, buck stops here guy" really wore on me, and I can only imagine it was only worse for Mike.

I really hope that whatever job you end up at works out great for you, but like Pete, I really won't have much reason to shop in Hamilton past the end of July.

I just called their customer service number, and sure enough they took the info, and will ship out the missing piece once they become available.

The become available part worries me a litte- does that mean 1 month or 14 months?  Either way, they did take my mailing address and home number - so far so good.

Just read this on ToyBiz.com

Quote
It has been brought to our attention that the bonus piece that comes with Maestro Hulk is missing. The missing piece is a tube that connects Apocalypse?s left arm to his torso. If you have recently purchased a Maestro Hulk and are missing this tube, please contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-728-2018 for replacement. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I will be calling them on Monday morning to see if they can do anything for Canadian customers - so maybe Toy Biz isn't as bad as I originally said

Finally picked this set up from Mike - who I owe a big thanks for fighting off all the others who wanted to buy it before I got my slow arse in to Bounty Hunter Toys.

Love this set - every figures is now the best version release.

Lizard - WOW, way cool figure, brings the comic villian off the page.

Vulture - Double WOW!  not only bring the villian off the page, he soars!  the perfect version!  My original Sinister Six is no complete!!!!

Rhino - the best version so far, again makes me think they went back to the classic look of rhino and nailed it right on!

Spider-Man - they used the Super Poseable sculpt - my personal favourite - with a new head, the head sculpt isn't my favourite - I really like the McFarlane look, but this is a minor minor complaint!

Caranage - well the set couldn't be perfect - I have the other version of this figure, and they are both the same ho-hum toy, this one might have a new head sculpt.  But they could of put a worse figure in the set, and I still would have gladly paid money for it!

Did I mention that I really liked this box set! or that my original Sinister six is complete - Bravo Toy Biz!  And thanks again Mike.

Just picked these up from Bounty Hunter Toys yesterday - and I have to say, after the terrible problematic wave 11 - wave 12 is back up to par.

Here is what I think is the good

Bishop - great figure - I don't have any negative comments for him - detail/paint app is all above par on this guy - his facial sculpt alone is one of the best so far.

Maestro Hulk - another large piece of plastic - great sculpt and great paint.

Iron Fist - Was never a big fan of the character - so probably the week point in the wave in my opinion.

X-23 - strange that this one is the purple figure and the variant is the black costume - I thought the figure was going to break the moment I had here out of the package as she is so skinny - but I was surprised - she is probably the best put together female figure so far.

Sasquatch - I wish we could get the rest of Alpha Flight but I don't that will ever happen - the figure is great, the shoulder articulation on this one is different than any other marvel legend so far, and it really works for this figure - really gives a sense of strength and flexibility

Wolverine - we might be the best wolverine so far - the claws are actually straight, and the extra little POA in at the top of his boots, and swivel wrist really make this figure fun to pose.

The Bad - and these are minor complaints compared to Wave 11

Wolverines belt - when put the swivel there? the split X looks really weird if he is twisted.

Sasquatch - none - other than I think I now want the variant figure!

X-23 - it might just be me, but here head appears a little too large.

Iron Fist - he has very large shoulders that distract from the figure unless he is in an attacking pose - his left hand is also kind of in a funky slapping or "karate-chop" pose.

Bishop - none -wish he came with one or two more weapons so that I could give them to Cable.

Maestro Hulk - his hat doesn't really stay on very well, but he looks OK without it.

My only Major complaint about this entire line is Apocalypse - I only remember him ever getting really big in one X-Factor comic (21 I think with Archangel)  but even then that doesn't really bother me that much as how doesn't like a massive action figure that you have to build yourself.  My main complaint is I didn't get all of the parts - Maestro Hulk came with an arm, but no rubber hose to connect to his back!  I really want that hose!  Here's to hoping that I can find another collector that doesn't want to get the entire line, and doesn't want to build Apocalypse.

Stupid Toy Biz, it could have been a damn near perfect wave.  And the more I look at these figures, the more I want all 5,  yes that is FIVE of SIX, variants.  Bounty Hunter has them in stock, I just couldn't drop any more money this close to Christmas.  I really wasn't expecting this line until Feb. or March.

I know I just haven't had a chance to make it in - I am shooting for tomorrow - but everything I was to get done today, didn't.  So I don't know how much time I now have free this weekend :-(
