Hello,
Still none here in the National capital Region. Only left overs from the no card art figure wave. : (, At this rate Toys R Us might have some before zellers.

There are people called "benders" who go around bending cards so scalpers cant get them but then there is also scalpers who, if they can't get all the figures on a peg, will bend the cards so other scalpers or collectors cant get them. I think both practices are sad and pathetic.

The only reason I think it was intetional was because every other place I've gone thats had wave 7/8 figures, the cards were in good shape and it was only the one wal mart that had the bad cards.

I really think it might just be the way they came.   I can't say for sure in your case, but the ones I saw were not on a peg on a shelf, but on these plastic "hanging" type strips.  They basically sat right on top of each other and had to bend a bit to fit on the little hook.

I think the intentional bending by scalpers, or whoever, is more of an urband legend than a reality.  I would be more prone to believe in people hiding figures rather than bending cards.  Mostly because I have seen posts on other websites by people who do that with rare items and then get off on making people PM them to get the location.

I have not heard of the bending however I am glad the practice of swapping army builder figures out for other crappy figures and then returning them to the store for a refund has dissappeared.
Bending = crap for collectors.
swapping = stealing.

Even though earlier I spoke to the Toy Manager at North London Wal-Mart and he said that they wouldn't likely see any more Joes until July, when I went in today they had 2 PP Officers on the pegs.

I had already ordered Wave 8 on-line anyway.

The WalMart in Chatham had one each of Tiger Force Flint, Baroness, Roadblock, Major Bludd, Cobra Viper, Cobra Commander, Artic Snake Eyes and Python Officer.  Grabbed them all.  :lol:

I was at a wal mart today and grabbed a few more figures which included 2 vipers. So I get home and pull out my figures to check them out when I noticed something...one of my vipers has the white lettering and packaging and not the silver like my other 4 vipers have. Anyone else finds these "white" vipers?

*I'm not saying its a varient just noticed it came in a different packag then my others.

Wow, Opened my first viper last night. They're problematic.

The goggles won't stay on when you move the figure, and the hand can only hold the rifle due to an odd limp wrist. Hopefully they'll get a fix down the line.

I picked up the Copperhead/Shipwreck comic pack from the local comic shop(down town St. Catharines) today and I think to date it's my favorate two pack--love the Copperhead figure and Shippy looks cool in the white buttondown.
