Other vehilces
« on: September 12, 2008, 06:15:08 PM »

I know this topic has been covered before, but I was hoping to make it a little more specific.
Now that we have the Vamp, and the HISS Tank, I am hoping Hasbro releases some of the tow behind vehicles.

I always love the Whirlwind and the ASP and I know both have been released within the last 4 or 5 years.  What I really like about the new vehicles is that they are adding new features/tooling to them.  I would love to see the Whirlwind and ASP retooled.
Are there any other tow behind vehicles that people would like to see?

MMS, HAL, Road Toad, Coastal Defender

Have I forgotten any?

Well one of the recent Walmart listings had the Whirlwind or HAL listed (I can't remember which one).

As for others, I like the idea of the MMS, but I would really love to have other "vehicles."  Meaning the Slugger, Moray, Skystriker, WHALE, etc.

I like the first version of Copperhead - these are nice.
Other than the new chin guns on the Sky Hawk - does anyone see the new additions that Hasbro might of added?
Are those new landing skids on the Sky Hawk?
They must of modified the WM cockpit to allow Copperhead to fit in - the original was a tight fit.

I am tempted to dig out my original versions of the vehicles just to compare.

Alright, personal confession time. When ARAH was coming out I was 10 years old. My parents put up with G,.I. Joe and toys for the first couple of years but by the time I was 12 (1984) my dad thought I was too old for toys. Of course that didn't stop me from getting my Joe fix but Santa wasn't brining me any more toys and I didn't get any for my birthday. Now that I look back I don't recall getting any ARAH Joes for Christmas. Sure I got Star Wars toys and classic toys like Big Jim and 12' Joes but that was in the 70's.

Before this gets to too long and morphs into a future news letter story I better get to the point. All my G.I.Joe vehicles I bought myself and as a result of that I never had any of the real big ones as a kid. What I did have was things like the Stinger jeep, asp, RAM motorcycle and the Sky Hawk. The Sky Hawk has always been a personal favorite of mine and this new version looks awesome. Next to the RAM, this is one I can't wait to get a hold of. Colour me impressed.

It looks all new. Everything is just a touch different from the original. Lift-Ticket looks great!

I think I remember them saying that they had to re-do the molds for the Sky Hawk...  that they didn't have the orriginals, anymore.

love the Skyhawk and the Moccassin, the drivers look amazing too - they finally fixed the roadblock hand and now Copperhead looks badass.

The only two vehicles (other than a Flagg of course) I'm interested in now are the Devilfish and the Stinger 4WD.

If they release a WHALE or Hydrofoil I'd probably be all over those too.

The MC group used the original Skyhawk mold a few years ago. They were missing the chin guns but the rest was there.
