Commando Snake Eyes (All Black) - International Card Variant
« on: November 17, 2008, 11:10:03 AM »

I'm not sure how many of you here care about this sort of thing but I've come across a variation on the International card for the Commando Snake Eyes figure (the all black version from Wave 1 2008).

I'll try to post some pictures tonight but it seems that some have the 25th Anniversary logo and some do not.

Edit: Here's what I'm talking about:

The version I typically see is here:

but on the weekend I found one that still has the 25th anniversary logo in the top corner.  I do not see any signs of tampering at all.

Now I have to try to hunt down a Crimson Guard, ID Destro and Spirit with the same logo (assuming they exists of course).

I have yet to come across this.  The two Snake Eyes I have seen have no 25th logo.

When my brother was in Peterborough he got me Spirit on the 25th Logo card. It even had a painting of Spirit on it and not Flint and the gang like usual.

That sounds like it would be the American version.

Oddly enough the data stamp on the back of the "25th" anniversary card is newer than the other one.
He was the only figure left on the shelf with an old Cobra Commander figure so I'm not sure what case assortment it came in.  I'm wondering if there's another revision that has been release on Canadian cards.
This one perhaps:

    * 1x Snake Eyes with Timber
    * 1x Snake Eyes (Commando)
    * 1x Destro (Iron Grenadiers)
    * 1x Snow Job
    * 1x Armored Cobra Commander
    * 1x Spirit Iron Knife
    * 1x Duke with Jetpack
    * 1x Tiger Force Flint

It's possible that they found some older cases of the cards and just used them up.

It's simple, causal decisions like that that drive MIP variant completists insane.

..and it's exactly those kinds of things that make me happy that I'm no longer one of those.
