I know it has been speculated about before but I just got this email from BBTS:

This was the case with:
Arctic HISS w/ Arctic Driver

Stinger Jeep w/ Stinger Commander

I wish we could have asked about this in the Q&A.  I wonder what's happening.  Hopefully they're just reworking the assortment or something like that.

Interesting, I noticed that this pre-order was taken off one of the Sponsor's Sites.  Now I know why. :'(

Funny how this was timed eh, after all the questions were to be submitted.  :shifty:

Oh, anyway I visited a few other sites and they are either pulled from the sites or listed as "notify me when available" but have an available date of 1/20/2009

Entertainment Earth canceled their pre-orders a couple months back. Now that BBTS has done the same, I think we can safely say that the cancellation is legit.

Yes, all of Wave 5 was cancelled, but word has it, it's just a delay. That they will be re-solicited for a first quarter release of 2009. I don't get why they could just leave the orders standing for now, but oh well. Hopefully this is the case.

Funny, talking about the 5th wave of vehicles when we can't even sell through wave 1 here in Canada.  One of the Wal~Marts near me just restocked again with more HISS Tanks and Armadillo Vs Air Chariot sets.  I'm so sick of seeing those two, I was really hoping to see some of the new stuff in retail stores.

Walmart in Chatham had a huge stock of them at first I couldn't believe how many they had, never thought they'd get rid of them all.  Sold through them in 2 weeks, restocked again and sold them out, haven't restocked since.    I guess it varies from area to area.

They sold really well at first, but by the time they came out with the Bi-lingual packaging a few months ago it seems the market here in KW had been satisfied.  They hardly move at all now and they just keep piling up with more of the same two sets.  That's great if they are still selling well in other areas but around here I'd have to buy up 500$ worth of shelf warmers to get anything new in. 

Hopefully things really pick up with Christmas right around the corner.  Hey my local TRU is finally down to their last few Paratrooper Dukes (it only took two years!) so anything is possible :)

Well hopefully there will be a major price cut to blow these out. When I can buy another hiss tank for $9.99 then I'll buy more.  ;D
