can anyone tell me what wave this desert viper was relised, i have not seen him before today, i found him at the georgetown tru express.

He is from Wave 5 that started the whole Pursuit of Cobra theme.

When he first came out I only saw him once. Now that the TRU sale is on, these dudes are everywhere. I have 3.

i hope so i would like more, i think the torso under the web gear would be a good start to a darklon custom.

he's got a lot of bladed weapons for someone who's job is to run around in tree/bush-less environments...

I loved this figure when I got my W5 case a year ago, but assumed I'd never see him again. Then at TRU on a fluke I showed up the day they filled the clearance bin...got like five or six more for three bucks a piece. Sometime I'm gonna have to open them up, he's rad.

Yeah, he came out during the "transitional" wave from ROC to POC (ROC packaging, but with mentions of the different scenarios).

Awesome figure. A bit excessive on the bladed weapons but the paintjob and gear choice otherwise make it kick some major amounts of buttocks nonetheless.
The Elite and Desert Vipers were easily my favorite army builders of the ROC era.
