Documentary/Informative type GI Joe video links
« on: November 12, 2010, 02:45:09 PM »

Recently saw a nice interview with GI Joe ARAH sculptor Bill Merklein and thought it would be good to have a thread with links to similar videos.  Videos that are documentary style about the Toy industry or of Joe lore or something like that.  If you have some to contribute or want to talk about post here, and any new links Ill add to this top post.  Id prefer to keep the videos of a bit more well known people in the industry or Joe related, so nothing like blogs or GI Joe cartoon clips or trailers.  Does anyone have links to good Larry Hama interviews or other action figure related documentaries?

I watched the Bill Merklein one just the other day.  Very interesting.  I enjoyed it very much and he explained things like zarana's head change.

i have watched the collectable spectacle over the last couple days.  loved it.  I never took the chance to talk to Mark at the CAN Joe Con this year.  Wished I had seen this before the con!  Thanx for sharing the link, I really enjoyed these videos.

that interview with Bill Merklein was really interesting. If people haven't seen it they should.

Mark Bellomo's piece was interesting more for the fact that he has so much stuff. Lol I loved that he finds things in his collections that he's not sure why he bought.

Still got to watch the Resolute Q/A.

Hi Guys. I made the Collectable Spectacle documentary. I've also been doing all the remastered photos for the Yojoe archives.
If you liked the first CS series on Mark, then you'll be happy to know I'm putting the final touches on my second series that focuses
on another well known collector. It should be finished and ready to go online sometime in early December.

I'll post a link when it's up.

Your work with Mark was amazing, props to you (and a Timbit).  Ive watched it twice and will watch again, its just a lot of fun seeing the collections.  When I asked Mark about it at the con he said it was only a very very small percentage of his actual collection.  I cant wait for your next one.
