The Problem.

The message board was down for a couple of hours today because we were alerted to a virus warning by two users.

So, to play it safe, and to ensure our board members didn't get anything on their computers, we shut it down. (We had no clue what type of a virus, or malware, etc it was).

While it was down, we updated the server software and made sure all traces of the virus was removed. It appears that it's now gone.

Should anyone get any virus or otherwise warnings upon hitting the boards, please let us know immediately and let us know exactly where it says the problem is. (It makes life much easier that way).

This one, was embedded within the files for our Chat board. I removed the infected files, updated the chat, and then thought it best to just remove the chat for the time being to make sure our problem IS fixed.

I'll look into a new Chat section for you guys later on once I'm confident everything is working ok.

Thanks for keeping us safe!  Sorry to see Chat go thou.  I only used a few times but when you launched the CJC store it was fun to have all us on at the same time.

Hi, i used to be known as Sundance, but since I can't get the new board to accept my new password when i get one and try to log in, i decided to register under a new name. so now i smell funny and new again...

Hey Flint  :wink:  I didn't have to change my password. Have you tried with your previous PW to see if it works?

no, Stealth sorted me out with a new one and it worked. askinig for a new password from the forum wasn't working and Mike switched but i missed the email  :-[ and then got a new one.

will change it in a sec...

The RSS feed is back (at work anyway!) or it never went away, and I just wasn't paying attention when I look at 7 AM. This morning.

I found an option to turn it on. I'm still learning this thing, just like all of you... Heck, up until an hour ago, Loop couldn't even reply to posts!  :lol:
