All of the stuff I really, really wanted had huge price tags. Expected, but still not a lot of great deals on rarer items. Most of them were there at the end of the show.

Con Set (with signed comic)  ;D
Reproduction jungle camo Trooper (almost got the White Mortal too)
Minty tight joint Dusty in a $2 bin
Cobra Jet Pack from the free table at the end of the day for a custom
Canadian Triple T for free from a dealer wanting to get rid of stuff before packing up, for another custom
Codename: Blast Off DVD
A couple of newer Star Wars figures from the guy with all the loose figures for $5
A handful of worthless raffle tickets  >:D
4 X Timbits, I shared 2
My daughter is just getting into the Toy Story movies and so she got a Woody action figure she literally tried to tear open with her teeth. My wife also picked up some Beanie Babies for her.

Meeting Ron Rudat and hanging out with friends all day = Priceless

Yeah, what pluv said about priceless is the truth.  I had so much fun hanging with old time and new friends.  Special thanks to Paul for the beer.  James and I can put it away.  :D  Pluv was cool to sit in for a podcast segment.  The Rudat family was awesome.  Always good to hang out with my fellow Declassified pals Josh, Brian, and Danny (who has an insane sickness for Snake Eyes).  Last but not least, seeing Mike, Ryan, Ed, Pete, Dave, Radio Guy, Deadshot and the Joe Wives while trying to stay out of their way!  Hopefully I didn't forget any names.

I didn't get a whole lot.  I did pull the trigger on the Black Major's White Cobra Mortal and the Invasor repro from my pal gsmiley.  I picked up a loose POC IG from GIDean.  The DVD with signatures from the Rudats.  I also picked up a POC Shock Trooper in multi language packaging - normal to you but "exotic" to me.  Of course the con set, an extra comic, the con t-shirts and some JoeCanuck cards I don't have yet.  My co-host Greg set us up with some Timbits - atta pal!!

I didn't make it to the 'Con (moving), but thanks to the efforts of the magnificent pdaat I did get two very significant items: the 1998 TRU Conquest that I've been trying to find for quite some time, and for the first time ever A CON SET!!!!!!   :o ;D  8)   Special thanks also to Realboss and Deadshot who were making an effort to hook me up until they discovered Paul was already on it.

This made me realize something else.  The CanJoeCon, the Con sets, the Canuckverse, and the board itself are all cool...but what makes this a standout, terrific site and the reason I frequent this board when I can is because of the fantastic people on here.  Applause to you all!

I'm promoted, will be fully moved after this weekend, and should be able to save some money over the next year...so the Good Lord willing and barring something crazy happening, I'm making next year's con.  I need to meet the folks who have been so good to me!

I know pdaat worked really hard to get a few people one of the extra con sets.  Props to him and anyone else who picked up stuff for people who could not attend. :D

I didn't spend as much as last year, (yay!) but got quite a few things that I had been looking for:
Zanzibar with Skiff
FLAK
Water Moccasin
Mark Bellamo's Tubular Toys of the 80's
James Kavanuagh's Guide
Ron Rudat's DVD
2011 Convention Set
Cobra Jet Pack
Zartan's Swamp Skier
Flame Thrower PAC RAT
Mortar Defense Unit
Machine Gun Defense Unit
Dukes of Hazzard General Lee with Bo, Luke, Cooter, Boss Hogg and Uncle Jesse Figures
Master and Apprentice 2 #1-4 (Thanks Grunt4MPV!)
Parts to complete a Havoc, Stun, Pogo, Dragonfly, Thunder Machine and Adder (Thanks Nova!  and Guy Smiley)
10 Blueprints for a buck each!
outside of that, getting to speak with Mark, James, and the Rudat family at dinner was just amazing.
Can't wait for next year!
and thanks to Pdaat for the Sleemans!

Thanks for the kind words sir (and olyeller).  Glad I could help some people out - even if not all altruistically. ::)

Props to other who helped out other guys too.

And thanks to Deadshot.  Last year I brought a "divorcable" amount of cash but wasn't looking for as much this year so I brought a litle less.  Pete bankrolled me when the extra con sets came up.

And if nothing else, this Con showed me the brotherhood of the community and how everyone helps each other out.  I had brought a bunch of beer with me as I really don't drink at all and wanted to get rid of a left over case from my birthday.  Several fellow collectors rose to the challenge and helped me out!

The Con tapped me out after the first hour =/

- Con set
- '88 Repeater
- '85 Ripper (to replace yellowing legs on my original)
- a couple of incomplete AWE Strikers for $5 <-- best deal that day!
- Mark Bellamo's Totally Tubular 80s Toys <-- Mark is a class act, I'd buy every book he ever writes!  Really enjoying reading this one and taking a trip down memory lane.  I hope Mark can attend the convention every year.

My panel's list was $125, and he had cut me an awesome deal (such a great deal I can't post it).

Valentine has been really great to me for the last couple months.  I met him at ComiCon and featured him in an article I write.  I interviewed him on Saturday for another column I am writing, and he is very nice.  One of the really good guys in the comic business.
