new art...Im not liking the art too much.  Which they got Mike Thompson to do it.  But I guess its budgetary reasons.  Is it me or is that Jinx head elongated?  Kind of like they cut off the top of the head painted a headband, then put what they cut off back on top?

Gotta love the old joe style art that Topside's art shows!

Wow, most of these remind me of a member of the Oktober Guard.....Horrorshow!!!!!!!!!!

Just not good, to put it politely. Most characters have some pretty glaring issues with dimensions or perspective.  What is up with Quarrel's leg?  Jinx's head? Iron Klaw's face, shoulder pads, "claw", oh pretty much all of him???

I'm sorry, but these are adequate attempts at old school card art, but they all seem to come across as fan-made and not professionally done.  Maybe some finishing by another artist might help.  Yes once the entire package is put together, the figure and accessories will draw some attention away from the art, but I still feel they are not quite up to snuff.

I didn't want to seem too cynical but I agree with camprime. If this was fan made art it would be pretty decent, but professionally done art that will cost a premium, these fall short.

Put it a different way, if fan made I would give these pictures 7.5 out of 10.
Professionally done, premium figures I rate these 3.5 - 4 depending on the character.

The best so far for the sake of just art is the Nano Bat IMO. Quarrel and Iron Klaw are just awful.

Big Boa:

Now for the sake of comparison, here's the original:

It just feels like the graphic was traced or something. The lines around the figure just don't look right.

While I'm at it, here's Cover Girl:

I'll admit she looks pretty good.

I was also asking them for a close up Sure Fire without the helmet. They finally got that up:

Some of them are realy great and at 20-25$ a figure, it's not so bad.  The problem i have is the high shipping for two figures and i have to pay this six time.
If someone can help me to get them and split the shipping.   And in a few months,  reship all figures to me in one shot!
I will be at the next Canadian convention so, i can take the figures there.

I asked, just in case!

What is the rough cost that the Club charges for shipping on 2 figures?

I have never done it so I don't know.

This has been an on going question. I've spoken to Brain and the GIJCC several times about this. The price is not yet determined but they are working on it.
