That makes sense. The comic/hobby shop I visit told me before how impossible it is to go head to head with big retail stores like Toys R Us and Walmart. There cost to buy toys was more than what the big stores were selling them to the public for.

To bad it screws over the smaller guy. Seems like the only markets the stores here in K-Town can win at is the stuff from Japan.

I picked a bunch of these up last time I was in the US, not bad for the size, however the super articulation makes their limbs fall off easily - they do however look great next to the Series 10 Marvel Legends Sentinal.

I don't know if I will complete my set of these or just buy the ones I like.

I like the showdown line, but I will not be buying into a whole lot of them.
I want a few from wave 2 and perhaps some from later waves.
Their flimsiness is an issue if play is the aim, but for static display they are okay.
Microman does this scale and degree of articulation much better though.

I picked up a handful of these (Dr. Octopus, Dr. Doom, Iron Man, Cap, Punisher, Torch) and they're not bad. I'm not quite sure how I feel about paying $10 per figure, especially with the quality control issues (my Cap has a loose WAIST) but for display they are fantastic. I want to see how the game works. (I have 2 starter sets coming in the mail) Any Toronto-area people around here wanna give it a whirl?

I have been tempted to pick up the second wave of these - Cap/Doom/IronMan/Torch, but at $10 a pop, and the poor QC, I am really having a hard time dropping $40 - especially when I can go to BountyHunter at the moment and get so much more for the same amount!
The other problem I have had with these, is there are Chase figures - and I have never seen any of them!  Really annoying, get hooked on a line, and then not have a hope in hell of completing it without going to a scalper or ebay!@#
I looked at the game that came with my starter sets, and it didn't really appeal to me, I didn't really "get" the shoot the other figure to knock them down part.

When I was 11 years old my Dad and I played a similar game with the Battle Corps figures w/ the spring loaded launchers.

It's for kids, and it's awesome.

They're pricey, yeah, but I dropped over $100 on four Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children figures. So I'm already long gone.

I'm actually looking forward for the incoming figures. I might get a Daredevil so the Arashikage clan can kick his arse!

New set just came out. The quality of the figures is improving, though Beast and Juggernaut both have weird screaming faces. Gotta say that Green Goblin and Silver Surfer are tres awesome.

Elektra looks more than a little anorexic.

For some reason, I got doubles of some cards (Magneto's entrapment, Mole Man's undermined and the Sabotage panel) If anyone wants to trade, I now have extras to unload!
