Title: Who is going to this years convention?
Post by: morgardee on February 02, 2006, 08:52:15 AM
Just wondering who is going this year. I know I'm not as I have a baby on the way and don't have the money to go but I will still probably place orders for the the homefront hero set.

Also, the registered guest applications are available on line at the master collector web site now.

Will this be the year I finally make it? Depends on my budget, I may have to do a lot of travelling this year.

I'll have to see if there's a reason to buy the homefront hero set. If the set is cool enough, I may try to beg a bagged set off of someone.

But going - not going to happen.

Not going, but will likely get a set (depending on what the pics look like)

No-go for me. But the set of mercenaries sound interesting.

I managed to attend the last two conventions, which were a blast. Pre-Katrina it would have been likely and had they moved thre location post-Katrina as well. I just don't feel comfortable heading down there.

I might pick up a homefront package if the set is actually cool. I'm hoping it's not repaints of bludd and rock/range vipers. Overlord is cool and I hope it's the original mold with some better paint aps and colours.

As for the extras, I'm sure MC will have leftovers after the convention. So no need to panick and head to ebay. The reason being that in my opinion is that the joe community is shrinking as many people are jumping off the bandwagon and not many new people are coming into the hobby. Also, they've had all the extras available for the last two years (and still do on MC) with the exception of the skyhawks, which by the way were too good of a deal to pass up (3 for $35) so many people picked up plenty.

I am going to miss that I'm not going to be able to meet up with the bunch of guys I've met the last two years. That was the best part of the con.
