The GI Joe Collectors Club just release a pic of the new members exclusive 3 3/4 figure: www.mastercollector.com (http://www.mastercollector.com)
Latest Heavyduty mold with new head and spytroops nullifier gear.
-
Did I mention that I kind of like the look of it? Goes well with the General Mayhem set.
-
The paint decos look ok, but the figure mold is not one of my favorites. A decent figure.
-
I have no intention of keeping it, but I did just sign up to MC, so one will be coming my way. I'll put it up for trade when it comes in.

I hate visiting other sites to see a pic. ;-)

If they were 6$ a pop i'd buy some
-
I want to see what's under the removable armour.
-
I know we are basically a 3 3/4 group but there is something about the 12' guy that keeps calling to me. I'm really thinking about getting him instead, or maybe I'll pay for the Nullifier. I figure the shipping cost on the 12' figure would be more than the Nullifier so using that logic, it would be in my best interest to get the bigger one as the free figure.
-
I think that for the first ime, I'll sign up to get that new Adventurer and his gear.
So how does it work actually? I just sign up on the website and I'll eventualy receive that figure?
-
CRAP.
Awful figure and awful armor that restricts movement too severely. I could not be less impressed.
Good thing I'm not a member. ;-)

I ordered my membership yesterday, for the adventurer figure.
I could care less for Nullifier because he is as we say in french: NUL!!
For those who are members, when in the year do the membership figures ship?
-
I believe the web site said it ships in May. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be asking for the 12' figure this time around and not the Nullifier. I'd still like to see him without the armor before I make that call.
-
Starts shipping in May....I never got my free 3 3/4 figure last year.

Did you try to contact them on that? I know I'd be pretty mad if they screwed me on the figure, especially since it costs us more for a membership since we're not in the U.S.
-
shipping in may... but I wanna play with it now
collect it now... yeah...that's what I mean...
-
Wow... he looks AWESOME under the armour.
My opinion of this figure has changed drastically.

Yes he does. Unfortunatley I have already told the MC group to send me the 12' figure instead because the first mock up pictures didn't look that good. I know that they only got the pictures on March 29th and put them up as soon as they had them, but still, they know there seems to be a lot of delays so why don't they order these things way in advance?
It's not like they don't know that they are going to give a way a free figure every year and since these figures use the newer molds it's not like they have to play "find the mold" like they do with the ARAH figures.
Still, I am looking forward to getting the 12' guy. I'll just have to place an order for the Nullifier later when they become available at the store.

I'm glad I chose the Foreign Adventurer figure. May seems so far :) Can't wait to do dios with my FA figure.
-
Anyone not want either figure? I'd like a nullifier for my IG army
-
I signed up to the club for the Foreign Adventurer, and I'm glad I did.
The thing that sold me was the accessory set--the leather jacket really makes the figure. I think the choice of head-sculpt is really inspired too, the foreign sculpt being the one vintage causcasian sculpt that never say flocking.
I chatted with Club rep Lanny Lathem who had a major hand in the design of both items, and he told me that the delays in getting items back from where they are prepped is why they are shown so late.
The club really does want to put out good product, but its limited by the direct consumer base of the members.
Items like the exclusive 40th sets it carries need more sales ( at least a few hundred more) to warrant development of the next series of sets.
The old expression of "buy lots and buy often" was never more true here.
There's room for contribution too.......things like a AGP for the Nullifier could be release in a new paint scheme, if enough voices are heard. Something like a "iron grey" with red or other coloured engines could be possible. They have access to the mold from the past convention premium.
The Club asks for YOUR input--so let them know.
BTW, the Foreign Adventurer is likely the FIRST of additional Adventurers possible--there's been ideas bandied back and forth and Lanny, Brian et al are receptive to your ideas too.

Has anyone in Canada received thier membership figures from the MC group this year? I ordered the 12' figure and paid the $25.00 (USD) for the outfit and still have nothing. I'm getting ready to phone them bought thought I'd check with the rest of you guys first.
-
I received one yesterday. I ordered two and two accessory sets. I mailed them to know when I'll get my other one.
Funny thing is, there was an invoice in the box...as if it was the second one I received before the actual free one.... Weird huh?
The figure is really cool. You won't be disapointed

Nothing yet
-
Got mine last week. I'd wait until the end of the week and then think about giving them a call if I were you.
-
I have received nothing yet.
-
What an adventure. First I received my first Adventurer figure with the accessory set. I ordered a second one for a friend of mine which I received last week without the second accessory set. I called the club and they're sending me the missing gear.
The Adventurer figure is really great!

I have to agree, he is fun. The gun and holster look better under the jacket than over top of it like the have him show on the web page. Just check for cracks in the knees and elbows.
