Title: Ouch, poor Scarlett!
Post by: SnakeEyesOnAPlane on January 03, 2007, 01:54:38 PM
I guess this counts as 'General Joe Talk,' if not, I'm sorry that I wasn't sure where to put this topic.

I hope that you have enjoyed your winter break and the New Year so far (all 3 days of it!), because I know I am.  Since before Christmas, I've been busy working on a stop-motion-animated short.  It is complete and up on YouTube.

Scarlett and Snake-Eyes make a cameo appearance and have a violent encounter with the Grim Reaper.  Luckily, they both survive, but have their bikes stolen.

If you guys are interested, check out my work by clicking right here (http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fWYq2APE8Q).  Thanks for your support, guys!

That was great. I know how long and how much of a PITA it is to make a stop motion film, even a 5 minute long one. Well done and major kudos!

Thanks a lot, guys!  Yeah, it was a lot of work, 550+ photos, and more than 3 days of shooting.  But if you guys like it, it was all worth it!

  [move:2soutiq7]totally awesome![/move:2soutiq7]

I also  want to  add that after  seeing this  video, I actually want to get  a few  more Stikfas.  I have a couple  of the  Alpha Males  from the first release.   I dug em  out  and  they've been having a running  battle  all along my desk now.

Showed it to some friends. They thought it was great, and especially liked your use of cotton. You're now officially awesome.

I have to concur on the cotton. That was just awesome.

The only thing that could have made it better is if the mobster had picked up that chainsaw.

Are you using an onion peeler that lets you use jpegs?

No, but that's a good idea.  I was going to use Flash, but since I'd have to recenter EVERY image, decided to use something else.  I couldn't get any audio out of Premiere (but I'll have to keep trying), so I grudgingly had to use MSMovieMaker.  What a terrible, unstable program...

You made that in that thing - you're braver than I thought.

Thanks.  I hate MovieMaker.  It's instability never ceases to amaze me.  I was thinking about using some Stop-Motion animator programs, but I didn't feel like paying to register them, and I wasn't sure how powerful they were.  I'll have to keep trying Premiere.  I'll get it working eventually.

Happy you enjoyed my work!
