Title: Need some help from the US for 12' figures.
Post by: morgardee on January 16, 2007, 10:04:24 AM
I'm into the 12' figures and I know Deadshot and Redmao are as well. there are 2 new 12' figures coming out from a store called Urban outfitters. I want to place an order for one of each of these new guys for myself but they are charging $30.00 for customos papers, plus shipping charges. If the 3 of us each got one of each it would cost us $120.00 for the figures plus $39.95 for shipping (probably get hit with duty taxes as well from the Canadian side).

Assuming Deadshot and Redmao want in on this, can someone from the US get these shipped to their location and them ship them up to us? Any takers? I'd like to place an order on this in the next couple of days.

Thanks. Here's the details:

Quote

Call the UrbanOutfitters.com customer service line 800-282-2200 and order.

Style/Item numbers are

13177175 (black hair G.I. Joe Adventure Team: Land Adventurer with "Kung-Fu Grip")

and

13177183 (blonde hair G.I. Joe Adventure Team: Air Adventurer with "Kung-Fu Grip")

Retail price is $20.

Sales 800-282-2200: Open from 7am - 2am, 7 days a week.

The Joes are currently on backorder. The expected arrival date in warehouse is 2/10/07. Typically backordered items arrive 7-10 business days after this date.

$30.00 shipping to Canada for customs.

Just to update on this. Stock is pretty limited and it was suggested to me buy the girl I spoke with at the store that I get an order placed pretty fast. I'm going to place an order for myself by tomorrow so if anyone else is interested in getting in on these then let me know soon.

Dave.

Do you have a link?
I didn't know that pre orders for the Air adventurer were up yet.
Any pictures of the figures?

By the way, the UO Land adventurer will be the same as the one that came out at Hot Topic.

So do they not ship to Canada or something? I'm not sure what kind of help you need but if I can I'll try.

Yeah  I could be down  for the Air Adventurer.  I was able  to get  a Land  adventurer  in a trade.

Man! Urban outfitters are crazy! I checke their website, no sign of Joe. They only ship through UPS ground thus the custom fee. That's crazy, man! When I ordered my Joe from Hot topic, I had no toubles at all!

I'll check Montreal's UO to see if they'll get the figure. otherwise, I'll get it though ebay or some 12' board...

:mrt: pities the fool who charges $30 for custom fees.

Yeah, I know it's way expensive for the customs but I also was told they had 56 on order, so low numbers. I'm going to probably place an order today for myself I guess. It's still cheaper than the MC group.

The air adventuer wears a sea adventurer outfit. Come on Hasbro! You have the orange jumpsuit, stop messing around!
He's the same as the one that came out at Meijer a few years ago, but with a little bit more flocking. Both are actually.

Yeah, I read that was the wrong outfit but to be honest I'm not that hard core on the 12' figures so for someone like me who doesn't really know better then it's all good. I have 6 -7 of them (not counting newer scuplts) on top of my computer desk, some are Palitoy from the 70's, one is a talking master collector one and a couple are last years freebie figure. I'm going to eat the shipping and place an order for them if they still have any stock left. If i get 3 then it work out to something like $32.xx per figure (USD) and that's not unreasonable to me.
