Post by: BHMike on June 01, 2007, 03:23:40 PM

A Black Ice figure (MOC 5th Anniversary Edition) has been placed on ebay.
Before anyone starts complaining, have a timbit :  :timbits:
Then, read the description for the auction.
It gives a hint to next years Joe Meet. ;-)

UPDATE: Auction ends in less than 24 hours!

Yeah, very cool.
I want to bid, but I know it wouldn't be enough for what that puppy is gonna go for.  I'm going to re-read for the hint, but I hope it's "the packaging..."   :)

Very nice and I hope you guys make a bundle on it, but I won't bid on it because I know that bad boy is going to the 300 mark. Besides I already made my own Black Ice and Shiver figures I'm cool with them. If you want to check them out go to http://www.myspace.com/krazievega (http://www.myspace.com/krazievega) and let me know what you think of them.

Something using Windchill parts maybe for next year?

So, care to host the jpeg of the card art so we can download it?

Very cool Mike. I think it will go past the 300.00 mark by a few hundred at least (closer to the 750.00 mark or so). Great custom, great character and great card art/packaging. I may try for it but money is kinda tight with some other deals Im working on.

A "famous" High End collector that has been in the game for years. His collection of figures rivals anybody elses (and then some). He has one of the most complete collection of figures in the world (including international).

I don't get it.... if you have a max - why not simply bid THAT when you see the auction then?
I've ALWAYS been of that mind-set. The only auctions I've lost in the last 5 years are ones that went higher than what I was willing to pay out. Others I've won well within my limit because of it. People see that the same person is the high bidder over and over and over - they're going to just give up and assume you'll win.

This goes for everyone. Plus, you have the bonus that the other bidder may be a friend of yours and just "let" you win it by not bidding.

Sorry you didn't get it in time Drew, but it was up for aweek man! You had plenty of time. I legitimately thought this would of been going to your place. Don't make this mistake when Shiver goes up next month (most likely end of July.... in case anyone is wondering). ;-)

Oh. and there won't be a MOC shiver posted - I don't have any extra parts for him.
Mike

Sorry to hear Drew - but if you didn't have the job, you couldn't afford the toys.  :P

We're all cursed to have either time to play with our toys and no money to buy them, or money to buy them and no time to play with them. ;-)

I hear that Raptor....

I guess Im known for spending a lot of cash on joes, but if I didnt work where I do I wouldnt be able to.

I wouldnt be so mad if it wasnt a one of a kind item, but in this case I cant "wait for the next one" type thing, because there is no next one.

If a Joecanuck figure ever hit ebay though........Id have to take the day off work so I dont forget it
