you can even get e ROCC for $10, Comic packs for $3 and DTC figs. for $1.50
That's if you live in the States of coarse. :-[
-
Gahhhhhh! Can one of our US members PM me and hook me up? I still need the ROCC, Ice saber and Hiss Tank. Probably some other things as well but that's all I can think of right now.
-
Hmmmm...
I used my girlfriend's parent's Chicago address. :shifty:
-
Used our local card with a relative through marriage's address in states and payment was processed. This was a year and a half ago.
Almost started a family feud in overstepping the favour boundary.

I always use my card and someone else's address - whatever kindly American I can beg into assisting me. I've not had any trouble yet.

-
Yeah but I don't know anyones address in the US I can use. Might have to send some PM's or something.
-
HTS cancelled my order because my credit card billing address is not in the US. Nowhere on anything does it say that they won't bill canada, only that they won't ship to Canada.
My American friends were willing to help me out by providing a shipping address, but Hasbro is unwilling to accept money from anywhere but the US, even if the goods are being shipped to the US.
They've pissed me off. If they further snub Canada by making the 25th stuff unavailable up here, I'm done. Fuck them. I like the toys, but if the company doesn't want to deal with my country, I don't want to deal with them.

What? That is stupid. I'm still going to give it a try and see what happens. I just can't believe Hasbro would rather take a loss on this old stock and sell it for dirt cheap instead of shipping it to some Canadian stores. There isn't that much difference in the Canadian/ US dollar right now and how hard is it to print up some stickers with french on it and slap them on the box?
As for the 25th stuff not coming up here, where did you read that? I was wondering if we were getting screwed yet again or not.
-
No news on the 25th from Hasbro, but the dude who stocks toys at the local Zellers says that he's getting a lot of big shipments from Hasbro over the next month or so.
I assume these are transformers movie stuff, but they are getting a lot of new stock in.... I bet that there WM and TRU are going to be the only non-hobby stores to look at.
We'll know soon enough.

The patriot in me applauds your stance. I've "man-cotted" businesses before but the Hasbro snub is huge.
We'll see what happens. ???
(and I assumed we wouldn't get the 25th stuff - but it was pure assumption)

- :chicken: Maybe I'll call my credit card co and see if they took my money. Once they take my cash I'm golden. :)

I hope so. I called today as my order says "NOT SHIPPED" in red - which can't be a good thing. But the very rude American phone lady (unless their call centre is overseas) assured me that the order was sent to their warehouse. I'll have faith when the order is sent FROM their warehouse. ??? Maybe I'll call my credit card co and see if they took my money. Once they take my cash I'm golden. :)
My last order from Hasbro took a while, and I live in the states. Most of the wait was my order sitting in the warehouse, waiting to go through their shipping order system.
-
I got an email yesterday saying my order has shipped.
Hooray! :)
-
Well I set up an account using Night Force Cynics's address and so far I haven't been rejected. Of course in my excitment I ordered the wrong Hiss Tank so if the order does go thru them I'm getting the Sigma Six Hiss tank. Gah! My own fault.
-
I just got the email saying my order has shipped to NFC's house. I haven't seen anything show up in my credit card yet. So I'll keep watching that and post when I see it show on my card.
-
Even at those prices, I wasn't interested in this sale as most of it is Sigma 6 product.
Man, this is not good for the line if they have to blow this stuff out like dollar store toy junk.
-
It was dollar store junk. But for those of us that customize, getting DTC barrel rolls at $2 each is a godsend. I bought 10.

-
Well my credit card was charged for the order I had sent to NFC's place so I imagine they should be hitting his door steps in the next few days. Hurray! I'm finally going to own the ROCC.

Hey, I was at 800 posts. :shifty:

Charles, you need to remember this phrase "Please ship item as gift and declare lowest possible value". Nine times out of ten there are no problems, especially if you get your friend to open your figures in advance for you.
-
I get dinged for everything claimed as gift. They seem to make up values far over and above what the actual stuff is worth. :( I think they're wise to me.
Besides, I wanted everything in package this time. These are going to be my birthday presents Meaning I can't open them till the end of August... :-[ I like ripping the figures off the card, there's something very satisfying about it, considering that I built half my collection out of the $2 bin...

I got my figures from Chicago, no problem. Unlike mnay people on yojoe.com, they all came promptly and at once. :)
