Mark Bellomo has written over 150 articles for such publications as ToyFare, Lee's Toy Review, Tomart's Action Figure Digest, and most recently for Toy Shop Magazine, where he served a lengthy tenure as their Action Figure Columnist. Apart from his regular duties as a professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz, Bellomo has authored a number of books on the hobby of action figure collecting: The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994 , Warman's Action Figure Field Guide, Transformers: Identification & Price Guide, and Warman's Field Guide to Transformers.
He is currently at work on the following books: the second edition of The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994 (June 22, 2009 release), Timeless Toys of the 1980's (Christmas 2009), The Vintage Star Wars Identification & Price Guide (Spring 2010), and The Ultimate Guide to He-Man, She-Ra, and the Masters of the Universe (Summer 2010).
I can't tell you guys how often I use his book: The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994
It's such an incredible resource for me. If you collect Joe figures or vehicles - you should OWN this book! Hopefully you'll be able to pick up one on April 19th!
Radio Guy should enjoy this news! ;-)

I definitely use the book too. The meet is definitely packed with great guests!
-
You had me at hello....I mean Hama.
Hope there will be books to be had - perhaps then I can recognize something past 1987.
-
I advised Mark to bring LOTS of books. The minute you pick one up - you'll be sold. Radio Guy showed me his book, and I bought my own about 10 mins later.
-
How much does one of those books go for anyhow?

Agreed. As soon as I saw one, I ordered it from Amazon.
-
I forget - but I'd say hold off until the Joe Meet to get one.
Check it out in person - who knows how much Mark will have it for!
Maybe I can even convince him to donate one as a door prize. ;-)

Awsome book (thanks Mike) and great guy. I had a chance to chat with Mark one on one in an elevator a couple of JoeCon's ago and he ranks up there with one of the most personable people as much so as Larry Hama with regards to fans. He even handed out copies of original mock-ups from some of the Joe file cards as presented to Hasbro by Larry Hama.
