Those G.I. joe armour body suits just look like they ripped off Bat Man's old stock and when there is a bunch of them together it looks like Power Rangers without the bright colour.

Although I am heart broken there will be no Stalker in the movie, Ripcord just screams Stalker to me.

The first problem I had with the movie was the casting of younge actors to play characters I always thought of as seasoned vets of the military ie Duke is younger than me. And Cobra Commander: I always thought of him as a 40 something man in mid life crisis not the youngest cast member of the movie.

The Second problem was when I read that the movie is SCI-FI fantasy i.e StarWarsish and they will be shooting lasers rather than bullets.  (cartoon not comic like Hasbro said they are basing the movie on.)

Third are the Sigma (nano) suits that make the characters look like superheros (X-men)not military.  They can't even get Scarlett's uniform colour skeem to match the figure's.

My GIJoe is a realistic military based world with ficticious yet plausable characters and vehicles.
Not supersuit, laser tooting, prettyboys geared towards a younger audience other than true fans and collectors.

I'm very disappointed at this point.

Thank goodness Storm Shadow looks so cool. I like him in both outfits. And I'd probably love the Baroness if the Joes weren't all dressed exactly like her.

I really hope the Joes have a variety of uniforms with more colour. Cover Girl looks good, and Hawk works with the mix of grey camo and black. I just wish Duke, Scarlett, and Ripcord were more individual. Like if they all had the nano suit basis but each with something that separated them visually.

I agree.  This what I would have liked to have seen.  Oh well. I expected this film not to be about the G.I. Joe I grew up with as that Hollywood for you.  And I saw this on the thread at joecustoms.

After hearing that Brandon Fraser has a cameo appearance as Gung-ho in the movie---I've all but given up on the flick being worthy of the GI joe mythios. And Mattel must be livid by the Captain Power power suit rip off.

I understand the updating of the characters but what I don't understand is why did they choose to put all the Joe characters, except Snake Eyes, in the same outfit ???

by far the snake eyes looks like the worst he looks like the top half of his body is rubber like the 1990 batman outfits. It makes him look like hs has half a uniform on. And the mouth on the mask lame. Hawk, stormshadow, cover girl and baroness look good the rest look like the power rangers. I wish I never saw the pictures beacuse if I don't see better ones of snake eyes then I doubt I would watch this movie in theaters looks like crap so far. These will be easy customs to make just chop heads off x-men movie figures. Wow what a let down at least the transformer movie was cool even with mostly goofy looking deceptacons.Well maybe they will learn from the Eng Lee hulk disaster and flop with this one wait a few more years and hire a better cast. Better yet stop production and hire Larry Hama to write it keep Ray Park and the guy who plays hawk fire the rest.
