I just watched the GIJoe movie DVD and it reminded me of how poorly the character has been treated in the cartoon medium. He played a small role in the movie and was very ineffective in fighting Cobra-La even though he had his sword. Not to mention using him as comic relief in the series. This also takes me back to the Sigma Six cartoon where Snake Eyes was reduced to a clumsy twit who had Cobras getting the better of him time and time again.
This is not becoming of the most dangerous man in the word.
SO--what does Resolute hold for him?
From the YouTube video he kicks Cobra butt. However, the Resolute Cobra Trooper file card basically has Cobra thumbing their nose at the ninja.
So will he measure up to the way he should be portrayed and will his figure be a cool new mold?

He's a Ninja, so if you see Snake Eyes, he's screwed up somehow.
If you don't see him, he's being effective - but it makes for bad TV.
Therefore to have him on TV, he must be visible, and therefore they can only cover the parts where he's doing his job poorly.

They could always cast him in his original role as a Commando...
you can see commandos.

Well in reality, in any medium if you see a Ninja he isn't doing his job. ;D
I think the original series had him portrayed the best. I know the comic is iconic, but it really went a little overboard after the first few years. That is usually what happens anyway. As time goes by, writers end up trying to explore characters further and usually end up writing more outlandish things about the character to "spice up" their story. Also, in a verbal medium like TV it is pretty hard to focus on a character who doesn't speak.

What they need to do is treat him like they did in the early Joe comics. They alluded to badass stuff he did (like cleaning all the guns himself so they won't jam when someone's giving him backup, or the 'thing' he has in his boot that's 'gotta be against the Geneva Convention').
He didn't have too many appearances, so when he went on a mission, it was awesome. Like that time he, Hawk, and Grunt were sent in to infiltrate the private militia with ties to Cobra: while Grunt and Hawk tried going undercover, Snake-Eyes was staking out the compound from a tree and making a log (which was actually funny), and when night fell, his infiltration was great.

I love it! ;D

I just hope he'll be as cool as in the preview.
May be less screen time than the others, but when he'll be on it'll be worth it.
Quality vs quantity.

Well if they kill him in the first episode then that should really limit his screen time.

Come on, show some optimism.
