No it's not the one with the DVD.  I'll see if I can dig up the link with images.
On another note they are on "International" packaging for the variant hunters out there.

Same here. I need a good Baroness. I'm surprised we're getting these at all in Canada. Though since they gave this website the "first look" if I recall, then they should come out here. :)

Yeah. I really want the Joe 5 pack, but 30 bones for figures that I already have... I'm not sure that I can justify it.

I think I'm going to wait a little while and see what happens---same with the Hall of Hero's.  Pricey for reruns with minor changes.

man, I am too impatient. I ordered my Joe #2 set from the states today. The Wal-marts in London, Ontario drive me insane, and don't even get me started on what's wrong with our TRU. However, I still need that Cobra set so maybe I'll drive down to the W-M tonight and have a look. This morning I went out to the third Wal-Mart in London, one that is outside of the city, middle of nowheresville, and their toy selection was crazy. They had TONS of Paravipers, Bazooka Troopers, Cobra Flints, a few BAT, an Eel, several Glendas and Bludds. It's as if no army builder ever goes there. Last month, maybe five weeks ago, I went in there and grabbed a second BAT, Eel and Bazooka Trooper, and caught hell from my wife for buying things I had already. It was painful leaving the army builders there today. At any rate, if you find yourself on the way to Strathroy, the London Hyde Park Super Wal-Mart will please you greatly for army building. Oh and I nearly bought the 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime I saw there, so friggin' cool. But I have to convince myself I don't care about Transformers, which I don't, really. But wow, those 83-84 style Transformer remakes are sweet!

How much was the 25th Optimus Prime? I saw him in the States and he was hella expensive. I think it was $75 American.

I'm interested in the Optimus Prime as well. I haven't seen any locally yet.

As for the 5 packs, I hit the Walmart Storm Shadow mentioned. Yep, there was 5 or 6 of each set. I picked up the Cobra set but I have to say this was the hardest time I've had justifying why I need them. I almost left without buying them. I'm sick of Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow. The Zartan is not as good as the one that came out as a singles pack a couple of months ago. The Baroness is decent, just make sure you check them all out. Most of them look like her hair is glued too far back on her head, giving her a huge forehead. I picked up the one with the one with the hair that wasn't so far back and she looks good.

The best thing from the set is the Viper. The arms work great, he doesn't fall backwards when put on his stand and the chrome face plate is great. The only down side is his head doesn't feel like it wants to move. I could probably work it loose buy honestly, it's not worth the risk. Also, these figures are easy to remove from the packs so you bet the scummy figure swappers are going to be switching the chrome face vipers for the older Vipers with bad wrists. I can hear them justifying it now "It's still a Viper and a little kid isn't going to know the difference". WRONG! Kids like shinny things just as much as us adult collectors. Besides, that also screws over other adult collectors who do know the difference.

I've picked them up a couple of times now and still can't quite seem to leave the store with them.  I'm sure I'll buy them eventually, but I guess there just isn't enough there to make me all giddy! :)

Optimus Prime 25th wasn't set up with a price anywhere, just two of him set randomly about ten feet from the carded TF stuff. It was Hyde Park Wal-mart, north of London. I couldn't find a price on OP, I assumed it was expensive though.

Yes you read that right. 70 bucks.

How do they figure that this won't result in rampant figure swapping.

I mean they are the same figures with minor changes in a case that is designed to be reopenable and reclosable. I could imagine pissed off fans swapping their old versions of the figures straight up for the new ones, and no one noticing at all.

If it doesn't happen I will be very surprised.

I bought the Cobra set, because I love this Baroness, the Chrome plated Viper and I actually really dig the Zartan.

The other 2 I could care less about, and Shipwreck is really the only one in the Joe set I'd use.

Unfortunately Raptor it will happen.  I saw a lot of that when I was in Florida and at three different stores.  Comic packs, vehicles and Star Wars sets all tampered with and swapped out.

my thoughts exactly.. I'm a huge transformers fan.. but I'm not dropping that much money on that figure. Sure he doesn't even come with the same stuff as the American counterpart. I think he is missing a Dvd or comic book isn't he?

The pricing is ridiculous, its just that much money, because "they" know people will pay for it. If you don't, the next person along will, or it will end up on ebay. crazy.

Man, 70 bones for OP? Ugh. I still want him though, and I thought the Canadian box looked better than the DVD/Comic iteration I see on Amazon.com.

However, I would rather save my 70 and put it toward the Cobra set, I need that Baroness. Maybe with the leftovers I can find the missing vehicles of the 25th line I want...online.

Argyle W-M in East London got a TON of VvV homage packs (ick) and about ten or fifteen of the five packs. Scored a Cobra set. They also had about a dozen(!!) of the Anni Optimus Primes, but they had all been left up on the top shelf, completely undisplayed. I really, really want one. 70 bucks is a bit rich though.

St. Catharines Wal-Marts have them now, as well as the 25th Prime.

It is difficult to justify buying the same figures but Shipwreck, Lady Jaye, Baroness, and even Snake-Eyes (if you didn't get the purple DVD pack version) are all new molds. Flint actually has rolled-up sleeves, gloves, a backpack and a new headsculpt. The Viper has better hands and the chrome faceplate. Storm Shadow has his nunchakus and the sleeveless look.

It's a tough call but the Flint and Baroness won me over. Shipwreck and Lady Jaye are superior to their original 25th versions I'd say the only clunker in the sets is Hawk and even he's not too bad....just not different enough from his original 25th release.

Wow, I can hardly believe I just defended Hasbro's quadruple-dipping!  ;D

Seriously though, I'm looking at my SHipwrecks and Lady Jayes right now and the 5-pack versions are just better.

Hwy 400/7 walmart had a whole endcap filled with these and the "best of" DVD sets yesterday. I'd imagine these are going to be at all walmarts en masse, so you'll probably find them at your closest walmart any time now.

I like the Joe set since I don't have a loose flint and SE is in his proper black v2 outfit. The rest are redundant though. The cobra set, I wouldn't mind a sleeveless SS, or a chrome plated Viper (though I never cared for vipers), but the rest are a total waste. Not worth the cost for those slight changes.

I didn't pick up the Joe set. The new Snake Eyes doesn't look so great up close. I like the new Timber though. I was more tempted by the Flint. I have Tiger Force Flint and Cobra Disguise but not the other. I'm ok with the Lady Jay's I already have.

I did get the Cobra set. I had some QC problems with Baroness's forearm and the Vipers helmet but a little glue fixed that. I suppose I could have just taken it back but it was raining pretty hard. Baroness's arm stays on now and still twists so I guess its all good.

I freakin knuckled under and bought the set (finding someone local to take the hawk off my hands helped).

The QC on the figures is spotty at best. Flint has gloves, but they come off really easily, as do Shipwreck's hands. Certainly an improvement, but pretty far from a perfect "fix" for the figure. The Head on Shippy is much better, but still not really well proportioned to the new body. Again better, but not perfect. The flint head is also a little wierd - the original was better. It does feature fixed hands and crotch though, which makes it superior to the original in terms ov movement and posability.

I can't get Snake Eyes to stand up without the figure stand, and his posture is terrible. The torso joint is a little loose, which makes him stand a bit unnaturally no matter what pose you put him in. He comes with a backpack, but you can't put a sword in it like you could the 85 one, so far as I can tell. The sword is nice, but I've already lost the damned thing somewhere.

Lady Jaye comes with swivel wrists and a 44 Magnum like she did in the comics (if you take it away from Shipwreck, who is holding it).  Vast improvement if you can do without the cleavage. Her collar restricts the side to side and up and down movement of her head.

Hawk is a bit better too, with the shoulder things actually fitting better than the single pack release.

I also saw the 25th Optimus Prime.  Wow.  Very cool but 69.99 bucks?  Come on.

Picked up the Cobra set since there were only 2 left and about 6 of the Joe set.  Overall pretty good.

Thankfully TRU has gotten the DCIH 3 packs.  Picked up Hawkman & warriors for $20!!!  Considering the singles are $10.99 it is a hell of a deal.

Anyone else find that they have to go through every pack to find one with good paint jobs? And the price..ouch.

A note about 25TH Optimus Prime : For the same amount of cash you can go online and get the american version which comes with the same toy/comic/sound symbol but includes a dvd with the first 3 episodes of the original animated series (and it comes in cooler package too :P)
