With the unbelievable set that has been put together, and the amount of posts that have been on Joe Canuck regarding it, and the Convention, has anyone noticed much discussion about the Canadian Joe Con on other sites or boards? (outside of those of you who have started threads on other boards, of course) Just wondering if they are starting to sit up and take notice of the Canadian Con....

I hope not becuase I don't want to show up at 7:00am and find 300 people from Detroit who are just trying to turn the exclusive conventions sets over on ebay.

We have been helping promote the Con for Mike.
Not that I can make it, but is that what you think of us? :o

Unfortunately, this is probably what will happen.

You know what guys, if it does, then it does.
I fully expect someone to try and get greedy and say they're buying one for there 2 year old kid. We all know that's bull, and I'll call them on it.
I know of someone that had his pal come with him to get an extra Shiver - he was there to get an extra for someone in Texas. When Snowbank was offered, someone got one to sell on ebay - and did. For far less than what the other one listed sold for.
So, it will happen. We know it will. All I can hope for is that they give us a credit to JoeCanuck.com ;-)
...and other sites, and blogs are talking. I see where the traffic comes from to the site.
People love the HATE, which, in turns brings them here to see what it's about. So my "leaking" of the images ploy worked far better than I had hoped it would.
Seriously, I should do this stuff for a living. ;-) It's fun.

If my three year would come along, he'd legitimately want one. But then when he's told he'd have to spend half a year of his allowance to buy it, he'd just ask if he could play with mine instead. ;)

THE Mike.
"I have a really, really, really sick ________. I know that the one shining light in their day would be to get one of these convention sets. I hope you understand and sell me the extra I absolutely need."
If that tugs at your heart strings, please note that I truly do have a really, really, really sick.

Sorry man, no, When I waited in line 3 times for XBOX 360 before I could get one, there was a Canadian kid and his girlfriend who were there every time getting one each to sell on eBay. I just wanted one to play one for suggested retail price. No, us Canadians do it too. I hope lots of people come to the con, but still, I think I might have to bring some tear gas. ;D

I hope that it's mostly collectors who get a set. I think it's great if we get lot of people from the U.S at the show. I like how when you line up there will be no cutting in line to get a figure 1st come 1st served. Plus 1 per person is great more collectors get a chance.

Will it offend you when NFC and I are applying stickers and having a war on the nearest open table?
