Title: Eaglemoss Marvel Lead Figurines
Post by: Jon S. on April 30, 2009, 08:44:04 AM
I picked up some 3" Eaglemoss Marvel lead figurines. It appears that I severely underestimated the dangers of having lead in one's house. Does anyone have any experience with these or other lead collectibles? Under what conditions are these safe to store/display?

I thought is was something you shouldn't handle but once paint lead figures were or if left sitting on a shelf. At least I hope that's true 'cause I have a couple of big Lead Dragons in my living room that I painted. I also have a show box full of painted lead figures in the attic somewhere.

Wash your hands after handling lead.
Do not eat, drink, smoke or anything until your hands and forearms have been washed.
If possible wear protective gloves.

If you are sanding lead - wear as much protective gear as possible. breathe mask etc.  and it is recommended to use water and sandpaper.

The dangers of lead are really if you are ingesting or breathing it in.  Having it sit on a shelf will cause no harm.
