Yeah I saw that bad boy last month when it first came up for preorder.  I'm gonna have to get my hands on that one.  I have the BBI F-16, and I wish I had bought the F-18 (almost did but held out hoping to find it cheaper.  Never happened, of course).  But I always swore that if they came out with either the A-10 or especially the F-14 they would be mine.

This is gonna be the one plane that can make the SkyStriker look like crap.  And I read somewhere that the reason it costs so much is because it's a specialty-site only item.  The F-16 and several of the other latest BBI vehicles you could at least order from Target (that's where I got mine).  So no major retail support = high cost.

The only thing I don;t like about the F-14A Tomcat is the tail fins.  Skull and crossbones?

This is truly a nice realistic rendition of the Skystriker. But too real is perhaps too much for what my joes need.

It still makes me want to part with my 80's Skystriker!

Oh, man!  that would be the perfect "Top Gun" custom jet...  Just need to make a Maverick and Goose custom for them.

I once tried to make a F-14 model kit as close as I could to those in Top Gun.  This seems like the next logical step...
