I can't wait to get them, about you?
-
My biggest problem is that I want to open them and have ones MOC.
-
Hasbrotoyshop.com will not post this until the SDCC, so keep watching as I will be.
-
Thank god this is a SDCC exclusive. That means the numbers will be more than high enough that he won't go for crazy Rowdy Roddy Piper like prices on the after market. Hopefully more like Suit Cobra Commander.

What I found on the Internet is that the numbers may not be has high due to SDCC 2009 that took a long time to sell out. But I hope they are wrong as I also want many of these figures...
-
I figure by this time next year his pricing will be closer to Suit Cobra Commander than Destro. I'm hoping they keep the numbers high since this is a much more desired figure than CC.

I want one of each versions ;D

Hey Hal... Anyway you can get these figures for us to buy from you? Or are you in the same boat as the rest of us?
-
Never liked the character, or the idea of a wrestler being incorporated into GI Joe, so I'll be passing. Though Hama did okay with him. I'd be tempted if he looked more buff and less like an out of shape retired man. It's just weird that hasbro would go with that look for him. I mean look at the card art! That would be more appropriate and tempting.

I changed my mind. I would like two of each. One to open and one to stay carded.
-
Same for me, two of each. Never be a fan of Slaughter but i realy like this version.
-
i would like 2 sets, so i can open one.
but i agree, the figure should look more like the one on the card art.

How much are they going to cost?

I like the "championship belt" accessory that comes with the second version. But if you don't the Sarge because he's a wrestler, that's going to really turn off a lot of buyers...

I need these figures.. hope to find them easily..

The Sarge is my all time favourite wrestler. So I'm stoked. I remember the first time I saw him on TV, I was 6 or 7 yrs. old(back when you had to get up to change the channel) and he was yelling at Bruiser Broady in a promo before their cage match. I had an opportunity to spend time with him one on one (shared private airport shuttle and same flight)from the Collector's Club convention in New Orleans a few years back.

I never knew that. Any good stories?
-
Yes, please tell us the stories. We can have a new attraction at the CON, Meet the Man Who Met Sgt. Slaughter!
-
One thing I can say is he is a very nice man and once loved to party. His partner in crime for many of the high-jinks and many drinks was none other than Roddy Piper. They loved to play tricks on other wrestlers and once they actually put itching powder in Hogans tights before a title match. Hogan was scratching the whole fight. Sarge also never realized how big the Joe collecting community was and loved to see the response towards him and his character. Always hoping to stay involved with Hasbro in some capacity. Looks like it has happened!
He truly appreciates his fans and is a very hard working man at the expense of his personal life. He told me he had to fly to Detroit(my stop over)for a WWE show on the Monday, then be in Winnipeg on Wednesday for an appearance and a show on Thursday. Company meeting in L.A. Friday and back to another show in Manitoba on Saturday and a Canadian tour all that month with shows and appearances at WWE stores in the States in between.
I'll fill you in on the rest at the show. i.e. how I became so luck to share this time with him. Basically what I thought was turning into a disaster for me became a great day!
Two reasons why I've never mentioned it is because I never really think about it lots of people have met him. But I think the main reason was; after the Convention I was so excited I wrote to the Collectors Club to share the whole experience and never got so much as a response. In hind sight Joecanuck should have been the first place I wrote. But I believed in the collectors club and was heavily involved with them at the time. I guess after being snubbed I figured I would just keep it to myself.
-
Very, very kewl....it's nice when someone you are hyped up to meet is actually worth the hype!

I don't collect the new 25th style figures, but looking at the Slaughter exclusive , I might actually consider buying it. It just looks Awesome.
