Now you guys can read up on the official bio's of all your favourite Canuck-Verse characters! While some still need "history" to be added to them, you can all read up on them and get a better "feeling" for the characters in the JoeCanuck Universe - including the Canuckleheads!
I strongly urge you to read these bio's before the CanJoeCon in August... not that there may be a quiz & prizes "thing" going on or anything.... (honest, we don't know yet - so be prepared)

Really? Not one reply?
???

Sorry Mike we were too busy reading the Wiki for the surprise test at the CON!!! Great job with the site!
-
Awesome. I'll have to brush up...
-
Good idea to have it all in one place. I had read all the newsletters and the comic with the 2009 set to get up to speed.
-
I was waiting to see if there was any response in the other thread seeing I guessed correctly. :P
It's good to see it is up.
-
cool to have it up, hopefully it can build up to be not only a good reference for Canadian Joes, but GI Joe in general. I can see everyone pitching into create pages.
-
i thought Joe Canuck was a generic, like say Steel Brigade, and the name of the unit, but the wiki seems to say he's actually a unique character...
i iz confoozed...
-
I have previously read it as JOE CANUCK was the single character and previous figure give-away while JOECANUCK was the team moniker much in the same way for the US you G.I. Joseph Colton and G.I.JOE
But clarification would be of help.

Joe Canuck has always been a stand-alone character... the Wiki explains that by going into detail what a Canadian Ranger is, and what Joe Canuck is.
A team of "Joe Canucks" as you're thinking of it would most likely be the Canuckleheads... but, there is only one Joe Canuck. ;-)
You might be thinking it was a "team" like Steel Brigade because the figures of Joe Canuck all came with the actual name of the person that originally bought one at the time.... but, he's always been considered a single person - not a team.
Read the "Frozen North" dio-story in the newsletters. He was portrayed as a stand alone character then as well.
Hope that helps...
-
I'd like to see the canuckleheads get a photo wearing their gear in each of the bio pages.
-
that's pretty much what confused me, the dio story treats him as an individual, the figure seems more like Steel Brigade... and the Canuckleheads wear the same uniform making it seem more like the figure is a generic and the name is the unit name....
so, does the Canadian special ops unit that JC, the Canuckleheads bunch and Snowbank belong to have a name or are they just members of Canada Land Forces and i've read too much into it?

In due time...

:o WoW, very impressed with the wiki section of the site! It was nice to read about these fantastic characters! Thx Mike!

They are a sub unit of GIJoe or at least lent out to them much like Big Ben(SAS) and Big Bear(Oktober Guard) and such.
Great Wiki by the way Mike. Where do you guys find the time??????????? I appreciate every bit of it though.

Where do you guys find the time???????????

Nice work, team!

-
It's on vacation.

could you tell me the primary specialities of the Canuckleheads, then please?
if anyone other than Deke (intelligence) and Quicky (communications?) has one...

will do. thanks

Mike, Is there a way I can help? I'm good with HTML. So if you give me text/pictures, I can do formatting, links, image uploading, etc. I'm sure other guys here can also help. You have a lot on your shoulders, so if we can help with the wiki it will be a win for everyone.
I know I would like to see Canadian exclusives, like:
1- Past Joe meets figs and filecards;
2- CJC exclusives (YoJoe was supposed to publish our exclusives, but we are still waiting);
3- Hasbro's exclusives for Canada (MSV set, black Mobat);
4- Hasbro's Canadian filecards.
For all of these, it would be cool to get information like:
1- Retail price;
2- Year of production;
3- Number produced (if known);
4- Pictures from different side/angle;
5- Accessories/Parts included;
6- Paperwork included;
7- Complementary information on this exclusive (if any)... from past Q/A, from writers, from artists, etc.
What do you think?
Martin

I really love that we have this new Wiki available, it gives all of us a chance to get to know the Canuck characters better. You guys just keep pumping out more great ideas, can't wait till its up and running!
-
uhh.... I can't access the wiki. I keep getting an error that the page can't be seen. Is it down for maintenance?
-
as Mike said earlier in the thread, it's on vacation.
an extended one, apparently...
