I know a lot of you use acrylic paint (dry faster, more color, cheaper, easy to work with, etc.). But it's not chipping proof... so you can't really play with it :'(.
I went to Canadian Tire today and found Dupli-Color Scratch-Fix 2-in-1 (http://http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/AutoBodyRepair1/AutoBodyPaintProtectants/PRD~0479100P/Dupli-Color%252BScratch-Fix%252B2-in-1.jsp?locale=en).
Have you ever use that on a fig? I mean, there are a lot of colors available (almost every car colors), it must be chipping proof... but it's not free ($10/each). But for a chipping proof fig, what you you expect?
Any comments?

Honestly, my Testors Model Master Acryl paint doesn't chip as long as I gently dremel the fronts of the elbow joints. Of course I don't bash my custom figs around either, but I've dropped em a few times without any damage.

Is is enough to avoid chipping? Can you move the elbows, knees, etc. without needing more touch-up everything? I mean, the CanJoeCon exclusives are not chipping proof (i.e. Hailstorm). I'm not sure that just a clear coat is enough to avoid chipping when playing with a fig. I'm sceptical ;D

Dropping is one thing, but moving elbows, knees, shoulders, etc. are small movements that will remove any other paint coat from the factory paint. Rit dye is a cool process that goes into the plastic. But other enamel or acrylic paint just go over the figs and won't follow the movement.
That is why I'm looking for a strong paint that will stick to it's surface... like a car paint...

I've tested spary painting a vehicle and now waiting for my paint to come in stock so I can practice my hand brush look.

trust the seal!
I use it also and i have used it on jo stuff, my custom snow cat has not chipped yet.
