I like both of them, and have clocked many many hours playing with the one I had as a kid.
I've also owned both since - I think Stealth has my mail away one now, actually.

You are right. There are not a lot of differences:
- Original: Darker brown, while the Mail away is lighter beige
- Original: Gas cans are new mold, while the Mail away has the same gas cans than the original 1982 VAMP
- Few mold differences: lines, details, etc.

As for the value, why do you ask Martin? Do you have one for sale ;D ? I wasn't looking for one, but I'd be perhaps interested in one eventually. This is something that I need to see in person, to decide if to buy or not.

Personally I like the mail-away version better, the light tan just looks more like the cartoons, comics and even the official artwork for the VAMP mkII.
