Honestly I doubt it will go much higher. Don't get me wrong, the production level is factory grade and it holds together better then my CJC blue SNAKE. My blue snake is missing a peg on the one leg and has a couple of air bubbles in it, so the Chrome one looks that much better next to it.
I really will miss this guy. I hope one of you guys get it. It's easily a center piece in anyones collection.

I guess it makes sense. Mike's Sky Striker hit $401 and so did the Chrome Hail Storm. People like the SNAKE armor and this is the only one out there. Guess it's hotter then I realized.
Whoever wins it, at that money I can feel safe that it's going to a good collection.

True, and not true. ;) I sold a boxed Japanese toy before (name escapes me, it was nearly 3 feet tall), and because there was two transformers in the pic behind it, the buyer assumed those came with it. I got a negative for it. That was 10 years ago or so, but it's always in the back of my mind now when I see auctions that show two items in there now... mine included. ;)

I think collectors out there would go nuts over a "sort of" canon colour scheme with the shine of "chroming".

Just to explain why, I like chrome. So when I sold off the CJC Chrome SNAKE a while back the plan was always to have it replaced some day for my own personal collection. A few months back I decided I wanted to proceed. So my thought at the time was that if I was going to go through the hassle to make one, I might as well make a few more.
I sent them in and had a few different colours made. On average it's one for me, one for sale.
I've had people contact me through Ebay asking me if I can get them made, etc... These are not easy to get done and the turn around from start to finish is around 2 months, plus my goal was never about making a job of this. I made ones for my own collection that I though would look cool and it was easier to say "while your at it, make me a few extra".
So what do you guys think?

I took a gamble putting it up at the same time as the SDCC but then again I've covered all my production costs and I know whoever wins this one will love it. I know I do. ;D
BTW, I've never had as many people watching an auction as this one and every one of my auctions has been settled in the last 5 seconds and the last few of my auctions have been won by snipers. I've had people say they blinked and lost auctions at the very end. Just giving you guys heads up.

The CJC was last month and truth be told, I'm burned out. I spent 5.5 months on that convention set (over 250 hours) and that is on top of normal life. Just to give you guys an idea of my average day when I was making the CJC set, it was getting up ever day at 6:20 am, getting wife to work, son to day care, me to work 8 - 4:30, picking up family, playing and homework with 4 year old, getting him to bed for 7:30 and then down to the basement giving 3 hours a day to the CJC.
Don't get me wrong, I love making this stuff.
I just need a nice long break.
Besides, new map packs for Call of Duty Black Ops today! ;D

That being said, I had 2 gold ones made back last spring, one for me, one for Ebay. I even changed up the stickers and replaced the Cobra logo with a set of Destro stickers. My idea at the time was to give Destro his own personal escape armor. Getting stuff coated in gold is a bit of a trick and I have ZERO plans on ever doing another run of gold. Good chance you won't see another gold SNAKE armor ever again.
