I got a funny pic recently about gas price (see below). But that made me think:
- Toys are made in plastic
- Plastic come from oil
- Oil price is going up
- Toy price will follow
How long do you think kids will still be able to play with toys made in plastic? I mean, toys made in wood have existed (right

1) we already buy it
2) you can buy it either loose or mint in box (that's a lot of cereal boxes for you mr. 5h4rk :lol:)
3) you can still play with it although it is socially not accepted in most civilizations, but the good news: you can still play with it
4) Unless you're a mint in box collector of course, you can eat it, this way you get to enjoy what you collect.
5) And you can display it.

Basically all cutting edge technology on electric batteries for cars have been purchased by the oil companies. The one successful electric car that came out a few years was only leased to people and when the lease came up the company took all the cars back and crushed them all. They even had Tom Hanks on Letterman talking about his electric car and how great it was. People were lined up for this thing, huge waiting list, it worked and they destroyed them all and hoped everyone would forget that it worked.
Hydrogen technology isn't reasonable. It still causes pollutants and is far away from being a reasonable option.
Back in the 80's when electric cars first became a popular subject the oil companies responded by giving us gas super cheap. That kept us hooked on gas when we were thinking of breaking away.

+1 for that... If we all had electric cars, I wonder how many Nuclear Reactors andor Coal Burning Plants they would need to build to generate all that electricity?
yes there are other ways to generate electricity... but I rather see a fields of trees then wind turbines, imo.
For every good deed there is bad one that comes out of it... I know it is very cynical of me... but true!

Gasoline is a finite solution that keeps going up in price.
Hydrogen in itself is a joke. Even if there was an affordable hydrogen mass produced that everyone had access to, we would still require hydro stations and those would be expensive to install.
With an electric car you can get the adapters made at your house.
I know we still need to create energy. That is why I purchased stock in solar energy a few months back. I believe in it. I also thing wind turbines are possible as long as done right. If we can set up off sore drilling, why can't we make off shore wind turbine plants?

1,77 euro's a litre which is $2,47 a litre which is rougly $9,33 A gallon if you calculate it
