Nope.  Someone asked the same question in this month's newsletter thread, and Mike replied that the SNAKEs were supposed to be part of last year's con set.  There ended up being a problem with them in production, so instead of scrapping the idea altogether they had 50 made and given out.

I didn't mean if there would be a blue snake this year, but something else similar to the blue snake idea, where the first 50 arrivals get a shot at something special  :)

To clarify, the only reason there was an "early attendee" exclusive last year is because of the unspecified problems they weren't able to make the SNAKEs part of the full set.  The SNAKEs were not made as an attendee exclusive, it just happened that way.  To quote THE Mike when asked the same question:

"NO. 100% without a shadow of a doubt - NO.
As I've stated MANY times. That SNAKE was supposed to be with the con set. Problems happened and we had 50 done. So, it became a bonus item."
