For the 90's-loving G.I. Joe fan. Personally, I'm all over that Storm Shadow. Finally a SS that won't turn frickin' yellow!!!!

I hope these make it up to Canada--I would expect them to.
-
I am Waaayy more interested in these than the movie figures. Hope I can find them and I hope they're no more than 5 bucks (hey, 25th were 3 at family dollars a year or two back)
-
I love them, but Dollar store stuff? If those are $1.00 each them I'll take 10 of each easily.

You're going to army build Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander?

Don't we already?

only if you're a completist. i only have multiples of one non-army builder character and that's version 1 and 4 of Wet Suit and i only bought the V4 one cuz it was a quid at my old work place after nearly ten years of sitting in the stockroom.

Slayer Design Studio heads my friend. I still have a lunch bag full of them needing bodies. I'd even army build that Shipwreck figure if he was a buck or two. ;)

Right, right. I had forgotten the custom angle. I suppose if you take ten Cobra Commander repaints sitting on black CG (BG?) bodies, and remove their heads, you get ten BG bodies.

While it would be nice to see these show up at Dollarama for $2 like the Star Trek Movie figures, I doubt it is going to happen.
If someplace like Winners doesn't pick them up for $5-$7, I can see someplace like Giant Tiger getting them for $5.
-
I can except $5 from Giant Tiger. I just wouldn't buy ten of each.
If one of our sponsors were able to sell these buy the case and they are indeed a cheaper priced item I know I'd want a case (or more depending on price) for sure.

$5 a pop with a case of say 8-12 figs? I'd be in for 2 cases easy. I just wonder how realistic $5 each is though since regular releases are double that now here and in the US.
-
Well, that makes 2 of us so far. Fingers crossed we can get these for $5 or less. ;D

These just arrived for sale in Manila, Philippines today selling for 349.75 Philippine pesos, which comes to approximately $8.15 Canadian dollars per each. Of course, the price in the Philippines might not be the same price you'll have to pay.
This series comes in six to a box (one of each figure), and the cardbacks read Hasbro Canada on each.
Lucky for Canadians! It's no wonder that the card art is all red and white on the card face.

Thanks for the info. Very cool.
If these are $8.15 each then I'm down to wanting one of each.

I think Playful is right. I just recently got back from Thailand and the prices on toys over there were about double what we pay here in a major department store. So I think it might be possible that we will see these hit shelves for $7 or possibly less. At least 2 cases for me still, especially if it is only 6 figs in a case.

These are kinda cool. I dig the arashikage symbol backdrop. You can bet the SS and SE are going to go fast and the others will peg warm (relatively speaking, depending on availability). SE and SS are the first modern versions of these versions of very popular characters. It's too bad they werent packed 8 per case with 2 each of SS and SE. Shipwreck is appealing as it's based on the very cool Devils due design. But the others are kinda duds.
Depending on the price, I'd go for at least SE and SS, and maybe the rest.
-
The title is a bit misleading. The day gi joe ends up in all dollar store aisles will be a dark one for me.
These look great btw.
-
These figures look pretty good despite the lack of accessories. If we can get them for say $6 a pop, I'd gladly take these over the movie ones. I'd probably get one of each plus a few more of the troopers.
-
Only upcoming figures I seem to have any care for.
-
The article I read said something about the figures being geared towards "Family Dollar." Is that a chain of dollar stores? Or was that a total Jon-fail?
-
Dude I really really hope it's Dollarama....all I have where I live is Wal-nut and Dollarama...that would come close to selling these. Sometimes Canadian Tire sell toys, I got allot of the star trek movie figs there for close to nothing.
<Fingers Crossed>

Uh, for simple repaints I can honestly saw holy cow, I want these pretty badly:
