In my personal opinion, that's because 1986 A Real American Hero Vipers are still the real deal. The new figures, while superbly executed, will unfortunately never equal or surpass as a whole the true essence of the 80's era and toyline which still sometimes drives the nostalgic feeding behind the success of the ME style. But I'm at peace with that feeling because they're supposed to be "modern" era anyway, and these are different times. I can appreciate some of the newer figures as I think they are very nicely done, yet they still haven't manage to deviate me from what I like and remember best. Or maybe that's because I refuse to do the ultimate switch to the ME style or because I'm not trying hard enough not to fight the new current ;D

Post by: Sundance on October 25, 2012, 02:55:36 PM: i just can't love a lot of the modern figures when they've got that horrible chest articulation that leaves so many looking like they've got man boobs. it's not so bad if a figure comes with a vest or something that hides it, but some of them, just look hideous.
