This is completely bogus how this was handled. I feel sorry for the people that worked for this company as they didn't know this was coming. They knew the company was losing money but still.
People that booked their tickets from Jetsgo have gotten screwed. The lesson I learned from this (after watching the news), never book your tickets through the airline. Use a ticket agent as you can get your money back. I do my share of flying but at least the company uses an agent. Man, I feel sorry for the people stranded at the airport and/or having their March break plans completely screwed up.
I hope this news didn't effect anybody hear.

My buddy in Nova Scotia just flew home about two weeks ago with Jetsgo for a furneral, and he said he noticed that no one had bothered to clean the plane between flights. Now I know why. :?

my brothers girlfriend was to fly out East on Jetsgo on Sat morning. Luckily she used her visa and is insured. She got a flight with another airline last minute.
I bet all of the corporate big wigs made sure they were compensated before it folded and were forwarned unlike the other employees. Not right in my books how it went down.

That's unbelievable. Absolutely crazy! I'd be so PO'd if I was stuck somewhere because of this! Makes me mad just thinking about being stuck! How the hell can they just pull the plug and not tell their passengers. A little warning would have been nice. Now there is no doubt that no one can beat Westjet.

my wife is a travel agent for trip central.ca and spent all of today trying to do damage control for people that were stranded and had no way of getting home. it was a nightmare and very costly...sometimes as much as $1000 US...glad i wasn;t travelling with them now....

This didn't take long....the remaining airlines in Canada are going to bump up airline tickets due to the demise of Jetsgo.
