I was in Buffalo with a friend to buy Bison tickets and we thought we would check out the local TRU while we were in the area. To my amazement we found some wave 5 VvsV 2 packs. All good until I noticed the packaging was French/English (i.e. Canadian). So I asked an employee what gives? All he said was that they (Hasbro) must be filling U.S. orders with Canadian product that was ordered and then cancelled by Canadian retail chains.
After seeing this, I doubt we will ever see any of the other waves here.

...... and once again I'm stunned as to why the smaller shops like myself aren't offered it.

I have read about this on some other message boards. Some people think they found some rare packaging variant.

... dang it! Retail stores would sell those in minutes if they had them in stores. Sure over buying cases would fill the pegs with unwanted sets but ordered in reasonnable.... who am I kidding, joe doesn't show up here anymore...
!
Those retail stores will probably sell those giant Sigma six since they're based on a new cartoon....
A cartoon for the smaller figure would've saved us some shipping fees

I wonder if those packages even made it to Canada...more likely they were in a U.S. warehouse and finally got diverted Southward for the yanks because of the dorks who run Canadaian toy sections in Walmart and Toy R Us...!!!

Canadian product (and some U.S. product) is sent direct to Canada.

Really?
When I was a support manager at Wal-Mart none of our toys...not even the Star Wars figures came from Canada...none...(we ended up with alot of none bi-lingual stuff). They were all shipped cross boarder from somewhere in Washington State. Also now that alot of packaging is tri-lingual it would suggest again that the port of entry is the U.S. and then distributed from there when ordered by a chain. Once a company has it in its system it gets shipped to store (sometimes wether they want it or not) And I would not think any chain would ship across the line twice...twice the duty...somethings up there...!!!

It's cheaper to have things shipped to Canada from overseas - and THEN to the U.S.
Ask Bigfan, I'm sure he'll tell you some of the items he gets comes from Canada.
I know TSO44 (seaN) had stock come from up here.
Times change. :-)
