Title: Mark Boyd?

Ok, watching the news tonight, as part of the SW part, they had a guy by the name of Mark Boyd who lives in Hamilton showing off his basement of cool SW toys. I thought that was pretty cool. Is this guy known around here? I just thought he might be interested to know his basement has reached as far as Calgary, via television of course.

Sadly yes.

He's not deserving of this. That may sound harsh, but I have a beef with Marc anyway.

The other fellow they did, (Ian), 100% deserves it.

Ian has been collecting for 20+ years.
Has virtually the entire original vintage set MOC (and POTF), as well as EVERYTHING that has come out since the 1995 relaunch.

He's a hardcore fan and has always given a deal to his fellow collector.

Marc on the other hand was a customer of mine until he got greedy.

He would go to the conventions, buy figures for $10.00 (exclusives), then openly post on message board that he wanted $60-$100.00 PER figure.

His room does look impressive, but when you factor in that he's only been collecting for 6 years, AND the fact that he has NOTHING but 'newer' items, his collection is crap compared to Ians.

It's like comparing someone's collection of 'NEW" joes, against Pete's.

Ian would be Pete, and Marc would be the 'newbie' with a killer display, but nothing original.

In my opinion, it's not just HOW you display it, but what you display that makes it impressive........ for an 'old schooler' like myself, Ian's collection wins hands down.
