Thanks Radio Guy! I remember that website from my days at Mohawk College. If I remember right, I even put some resumes out from it.

Okay guys, This might be a bit of a long shot, but what the hell...

When I left for Nova Scotia, I burned my bridges at the Stag Shop. Now since I'm back in Ontario, I'm looking for a job. Anyone know any good companies that are hiring?

Qualifications wise, I've done a bit of everything. The only thing I have NO experience with is food preparation (I worked in a grocery store for years, but I can't cook worth a crap). I went to school for a diploma in Radio Broadcasting, but I didn't finish the course because I couldn't find a co-op.

I've recently been thinking about joining the Army, but that would absolutely kill my mom.

Anyone have any suggestions?

MIKE...YOU MUST...STOCK...THESE...

(probably too late eh?)

Thanks for the review Spillspleen! I need a set of these figures just for the Scrap-Iron.

I think that'll be tough as they are US Toys R Us exclusives.

Unless Mike takes a roadtrip and grabs what he can find at retail

FOILED AGAIN BY HASBRO! Oh well, I'm broke anyways.  :?

I believe that any post is fine, as long as it fits into the posting rules and it's somewhat intelligent. One liners are fine, but I've seen people post NOTHING BUT one liners on other boards...it can get annoying.

As long as the post is on topic, isn't 15 lines longs with no page breaks, has punctuation and isn't just one big ramble, it might be worth posting. Even if it goes off on a tangent, it just might start a better conversation.

Deadpool looks like the best figure of the entire series!

I'm not a big Cable fan, and his figure isn't helping him for me. If they had given him a darker X-Force costume along with a couple of decent weapons, I'd be a big fan.

Phoenix looks cool...they deffinately need more women heroes in the line.

Mr. Punisher will be bought for his weapons, not his odd head sculpt.

And Wolverine looks awesome! I love that costume. I just wished they had waited a few more series before distributing him...most collectors already have two Wolverine figures.

What does your signature mean...I know it goes with your story...let us in on the story!!!

Well, before I left for Nova Scotia, a friend of mine kept telling me about 'donairs'. Basically, a donair is a pita filled with spicy shaved beef, onions, tomatoes and this white donair sauce that's kind of sweet. I likened it to a gyro or kebob from a Greek or Middle Eastern restaurant, but donairs are really only available down East.

I'm a big fan of most Middle Eastern food, as well as Thai and other spicy foods. So when my friend said a donair is spicy, I had a smile on my face. Anyways, I ordered a small one, and ate it, without even a glass of water.

Then I started telling people about the Tandoori restaurant in downtown Hamilton (their kabobs are painful at times :D ). To me, donairs were just bland.

You're wondering about his sig line?..... Heck, I'd be more interested in finding out the history behind the remark above his avatar!

You and Beav must have been working in tandem Mike...whenever I make a post anywhere, I find an avatar line.

I turned down a job in Atlanta years ago and to this day I regret it.(One of those 'what if' things....)
mike

That's funny, my mom was offered a position as a plant manager in Atlanta years ago...she turned it down but wonders to this day what would have come from it.

I love being home, but the amount of debt I face with everything happening kind of worries me. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about starving to death anymore.  :|

Stealthy has GOT to be there Mike...can't it be scheduled from Saturday evening or something? I really don't know if it's possible to have it Saturday night, it's just an idea I'm throwing out.

I hear you Techno. I haven't been able to buy a Joe in months. And now, facing the almost impossibility of finding things like comic 3-packs and Crimson sets in the future, along with the barrage of Marvel Legends figures I've yet to purchase (love those damn things), I've started to lose a bit of taste for Joes.

Maybe once I get my collection out of storage and displayed, I will feel better.

Well guys, I'm back in Ontario.

For those who don't know me too well, I relocated to Nova Scotia about two months ago for a sales agent position with a clothing company. When I arrived, I learned that the position had been falsely advertised, but I decided to stay and see if I could find another job so I wouldn't look like a complete idiot for moving 1200kms from home. After finding a part time position in a video store, things started to work out a little better.

Anyways, recently my aging grandmother has been under scrutiny from Revenue Canada for a pension/income tax screw-up involving a large sum of money back here in Ontario. Aside from that, the people I was staying in Nova Scotia with are going through some serious financial hardships, and it took a serious bite out of the meager savings I had brought with me. So plagued by an eventual legal battle and under the pressure of my friend's domestic problems, I had my buddy in Hamilton (who's the best shit in the entire universe in my eyes) booked me a plane ticket home.

I got back on Sunday evening from Halifax. I've been busy with helping my mom move into her new apartment, so I really haven't had the time to sit down and write a decent post admitting my overwelming defeat until now.

So, for the forseable future, I'm back in Ontario!
