Since most of the posters seem to be  in southern ontario, we could hook up around Niagra Falls/ St catherines area would most likely work, it's probably the most central of all cities in the area. any thoughts. speak your mind. I wouldent mind springing for a couple of boxes of  :timbits:

Costco will have an exclusive 3 3/4 G.I.Joe Battel in a Box set that will have 2 vehicles and 6 figures. Figures are Tunnel Rat, Dart, Nunchuck, Tech Viper, Cobra Coils, Pit Viper. No mention of vehicles or time when it is showing up but it's suggested price is $24.88.
That was posted in last month MC news letter.

I remember seeing a pic of that, it comes with the rigneck and the smoke screen transport,

Does anybody know when it comes out to costco stores?

Sadly, so far it has been a losing cause.

I hear ya brother.........  let's see, we got an overload of rockslides,
cobra mantis subs, and the piece de resistance......(drumroll) The road rebel....  We have got a lot of crappy vehicals over the course of a year. Ive only seen 1 chopper (desert helicopter) at toys r us at the queensway,  I should have picked it up :( . and that's all.  We need to get some of the bigger vehicles that are out there. Walmart and the other stores are losing money hand over fist.  I guarantee them there shelves would be empty like they usually are, but they would sell the "BIGGER MORE EXPENSIVE" items....... I just dont get it.

Also a little off topic, but does anybody know if they are selling joes at COSTCO, or SAM'S CLUB.... I heard something about it but Im not sure about it. I have a sam's club membership , and my girlfriend has a costco membership. So im covered if i have to go there.

Zellers never has cared about their toy department. quote]

I hear that, I work as a designer for a company that produces displays and fixtures for retail stores, we were bidding on a project for the Zellers, Toy department. it was really nice looking what we were going to do, really gives off that little kid feeling when you walk into the department, but Zellers being cheap as they are, we dident get the job, and since then I havent seen anything new for the toy department since then, and that was at least 1.5 years ago. I guess the program was canceled..... guess that just proves your point to a T.

there trying to compete with the big boys, but playing with little boy rules....... I can only imagine what there head office is like...... :?

An interesting note on that, Darryl Depriest made the comment about the stock with Agent Faces and how they were worried that they were going to have leftovers. That is never good news to hear.

I thought they sold completely out? never even got one....sob.... :( , but im saving all of my points, up to around 200pts I think?

Finally went to Bounty Hunter Toys on saturday, woke up early with my girlfriend and dragged her into my truck for the drive from Mississauga to Hamilton. got there a little early and waited for Mike to open his store. I was like a kid in Christmas all figity and smiling. My girlfriend could see it in my eyes. Anyway 10:30 went by, Mike opened up the store and we walk in. I pick up my Bridge Layer (which was very nicely priced) a toy that I wanted ever since I lost mine when I was a kid. I start looking around for other things. And I see the famous "$2.00 figure bin" WOW,WOW,WOW ... :D I really had to control myslef, I ended up only buying 2 figures  VRS 1 Destro  and Dreadknock Torch. Also picked up some rifles for my cobra infantry .
and my prized accessory... 87'Outbacks backpack...now im one step closer to completing my most wanted fig. I also picked up my second favorite joe vehical... the APC  :D  :D  :D  Im soooo Stoked, my 2 favorite vehicals in one day!!! I am soo pleased The APC alone was worth the $15.
Everyting that I picked up was a great deal, and I will be making several trips over the course of the year to your shop. My girlfriend asked me when we are going back there, because she hadent seem me this happy in a long time. So thanks again Mike for the great deals.  hopefully I will be back for more in about a month or so.

General Joe Talk / Fav, vehical
« on: July 21, 2004, 12:51:24 PM »
What was your all time vehical for Joe and Cobra,
choose 1 for each side. And maby a close second for each.

For me mine is as follows

Joe:     Bridgelayer. Is and always will be my favorite, dont have it anymore but would love another one if I could get my hands on one.....BHT...... my second choice would be for the joes would be the 83 APC. love the removable "Canvis"canopy.

Cobra: Cobra flight pod (trouble bubble). small and quick. perfect for quick attacks on the joes. my second would have to be the
Cobra HISS vs 1. all black with flip up canopy, the only thing I dident like was the driver.

I dont have any of them anymore but would love to have them
re-released. one can only dream I guess....sigh..... :(

F*** Wal-Mart and F*** Target.

American consumerism and predatory marketing. If more people took a stand against this stuff ands refused to give in to the easy, cheap way for the sake of making their lives easier, we wouldn't be losing our Canadian stores.

Sorry if that was harsh but i'm tired of listening to people whine about things but never having the balls to do anything about it lest it interfere with saving a few almighty dollars.

I thinks it's already a little too late for that..... :|

All we have to do is refuse to be sucked into a marketing campaign.
