Custom Carded Black Ice

Hey Guys,

 I finally found some time to finish this project I have so slowly be working on. Having a new baby in the home sure takes up alot of it.

I custom carded my Black Ice figure for my own personnel collection. Take a look, but don't look to close.  There are a few flaws in it. ha ha. :shifty:

Mike,
Its just a custom card for my own personnel collection, not trying to piss you off or anything.
I have blur'd out the Logo for you on the pictures.
Just giving credit to you as the creator as BHT was part of the meet at that time.
I was trying to stick to the original feeling of the figure as your store logo was on the file card.
Plus the store logo looks really nice.

Irrespective Beeks, if the man asks you to remove it, I'd hope that you'd be ok with doing it.

It is his trademark, and if for some reason the custom card were to go out of your hands (Lets say you get out, and sold your whole collection, and forgot that it was packed away with it) it looks like this is something from Mike's old store. Because Mike did a LOT of custom carding with the store, it could be mistaken as something he did - Like signing someone else name to the bottom of a painting.

It looks like you spent a lot of time getting that to look as good as it does (I assume that you asked loop about using his artwork) and it seems that you've integrated it perfectly.

But the basis of this community is that you ask when using each other's ideas, and back off if you can't get permission. I hope that you're cool with that.

Raps pretty much summed it up. I was in a hurry when I posted - sorry.

When I sold customs on ebay, I ALWAYS put my BHT log on them - it would tell people it was one of mine.

To take a different spin on Raps post - lets say you didn't sell your stuff - but instead someone broke into your house - knows Joes are worth something - steals it - and doesn't know it's a custom?

They post it on ebay - and some people think I made it.

I own that logo - I know it's a sweet looking logo - which is why I would rather you re-do your card art and not have the BHT url or the BHT logo anywhere on it.

Other than that it does look neat. I had a '80's style' card all ready for the 'extra' Black Ice that was held back last year - but never got around to carding him up.

I can't 'make' you remove it. It's yours to do with as you please. There may even be other items out there with the BHT logo without my approval or knowledge. But I'd appreciate it if you took the logo off. The store had nothing to do with the meet - except cover some costs. It has no bearing on the toy itself - so please remove it from your cardback - especially if you plan on bringing it to the Joe Meet.

Honestly I am not trying to disrespect anyone. I do apologize. I will remove the BHT Logo from the card, as I am not trying to upset anyone, I totally respect Mike?s point and views with that.  I never looked at it like that. I will remove the link to the pictures.
I will PM Loop about his art work.
Is it alright to use the Joecanuck.com on the card?

Once I get the Ok from Loop and Mike, I will show the newly carded Black Ice.

BHT is ME. This site - is you guys. I just own it.

I doubt Loop would have a real problem with his artwork - just credit him on the back of the card.
But - best to check with him.

I have the new card done.
- No BHT.
- Got Agent Loops OK on using his artwork and credited.

I will be posting the new custom carded pictures under "Beekerz Toy Room" as i have more to post later on.
