Batman question, who is Hush?

I got out of comics a while ago but keep hearing about Batman "Hush". From what I know, the character is or was a big secret, so if anyone reads Batman, please tell me who is Hush, or at least who do you think he is.

You would HAVE To read the comic! :-)

Hush is a saying one of the bad guys kept saying.

However (spoiler).......
































































Near the end, you find out the 'big bad guy' is Bruce Waynes childhood friend. But everything was set in motion by the Riddler. Yeah... The RIDDLER!??!! He came up with the entire thing and had Bruce's friend pay for it all. ALL so the friend could kill Bruce. It was a great story. Worth the $40.00 for the two trade paperbacks!
