By now most of you should know about the FREE JoeCanuck trading cards that have been mailed out to random members, these cards are completely free and available to anyone that wants them!
There are currently 6 cards completed and "in hand" as of this posting, with another 4 on the way. The cards contain information on all the past Canadian Joe Meet figures (now known as the Canadian Joe Convention). Odd #'d cards will showcase the artwork (done by our own Jason Loo), while the even #'d cards will showcase the actual figure in a battle pose!
Two new cards will debut at each Canadian Joe Convention every year and will showcase that years exclusive figure!
Be aware, the only reason we don't have a complete set right now is because they cost us money. We have to print in a high enough quantity to enable these to be done cheap enough. Starting with card #4, we offered "Sponsorship" of specific cards. Our own Stealth Viper (Ed) and General Hawk (Justin) split the cost and co-sponsored that card. They have their names on the back of it, and will basically "own" that card. They also each received a large pile of "their" card and will be one of the outlets for you to all acquire it from.
We're not taking sponsors on any other ones just yet - but if you're interested in it, drop me a PM. You can go in as a group to co-sponsor one, or, if you're a business or a .com site, you can sponsor the card on your own and promote it! (If you have a logo, that will be placed on the back as well).
Now, if you have no idea what I'm talking about - then where have you been? We've posted it on the main page, promoted it in the newsletter, and gave a ton out to attendees of the Canadian Joe Meet this past April! pay attention, or you'll miss out on some of them! (We're getting low on Black Ice cards for example).
Use this thread (or the new JoeCanuck Trading Card section) on the message board to give us some feedback on them. Who knows... we may even have holographic or foil cards available as well! ;-)
