Introducing the M.A.T.E.

I decided for my very first custom to take on the whole "CHROME" phenomenon. Instead of using a vehicle that is near and dear to all of the Joe fans out there, I picked a vehicle that near all of us dislike. I was hoping that giving it a "Chrome" upgrade would make it better.

Without further adieu, I bring you the M.A.T.E., In honor of 2009 CJC H.A.T.E. that started this all.

Yes that is RIGHT! I Chromed a Mole Pod! I hope this will make all the Mole Pod hates give this vehicle a second chance. Please enjoy the Pics as I did take them with my Blackberry. Please be honest, I welcome all comments.

Good lord, you did it.

That is awesome. I think it's safe to say that is truly a one of a kind.

Just a suggestion, take pictures outside. I know I was having problems taking pictures of all the SNAKEs I made.

Still, I'm very happy for you.

Bandonov, all these times that you were requesting a chrome pod... didn't know you were so dead serious until now. Your deeds have indeed matched your words!  ;)

And btw it's very cool of 5h4rk to help Bandy! (I see Timbits everywhere  ::))

EDIT: You know something that didn't make much sense IMO with the original Mole Pod was giving it windows in the first place. When you're digging through rock and the hydrostatic pressure from the soil pushes on the hull, structural glass may not even be the logical answer.

In other words, I like the fact that you had the windows plated in chrome. this Chrome Pod is now armored for the job.

Personally the off-gray color on the tracks and the red button is something that bothers me with the new chrome application. I would prefer seeing them recolored black. But that's just a minor comment, hope that you're enjoying the Chrome Pod more than ever Bandy!

I owe 5h4rK a ton of favors, if it was not for him, this dream would not of happened! LOL!!!   I agree with you that red button needs to be black, but I gave away all my extra mole pods at the CJC so I do not have the one with the black button any more.  I like the treads as it gives a more dirty used look, Non?

OUI 8) but you now that you chromed your pod, it looks all brand new and clean. So I say go the distance and clean those threads up while you're at it LOL!
