Q: Toy Aisle Resets. Anyone know when?
« on: July 20, 2008, 03:37:35 PM »

As the title says, does anyone know when Zellers and Wal~Mart are doing their fall resets?  I'm curious to see what space is made available for G.I. Joe.
I believe Wal~Mart is doing their's in August, but I'm not sure exactly when.

From what I have seen, the reset for fall gets done in the middle of August, and the setup for Christmas gets down the first week or so of October.

One of my local Wal~Marts has begin putting up their "planograms".  They haven't gotten to the action figure aisle yet, but everything around it was up so it shouldn't be long now.

Still no action figure aisle planograms at Sunrise Center.  Fairview Mall Wal~Mart has begun their reset as well, but again....no plans for the action figures.

So the planograms are up and guess what......no Joes!  There is space allocated for vehicles, but that's all I can find.  Now this doesn't mean they won't carry them anymore, but rather the supply is still too uncertain to dedicate shelf space too (at least in this one store).

Walmart toy reset - there is some hope
« Reply #5 on: August 12, 2008, 09:01:10 PM »

Just got back from my local Walmart and it looks like they are doing a toy dept reset for August 18th.

On one of the papers for the action figure isle it had slots lined up for figures and vehicles. More supply coming in hopefully.

There was an buttload set aside for StaWars.

Which Wal~Mart was it and how many pegs did they have for G.I. Joe?

What? I've seen THREE layouts in the last 3 days at Walmart - NONE of them list GI Joe anywhere. I checked every single sheet.

Brantford Walmart.

4 pegs + space for GI Joe 3.75" vehicles.

Not a ton of pegs, but hopefully they will be stocked frequently.

4 is plenty!  The one layout I've seen so far had no space allocated for singles.

Cambridge Wal~Mart...nothing.  Not even space for vehicles.  There are a few slots that only have SKUs and no names so I don't know what's there, but there wasn't anything G.I. Joe in the usual spot (by the CORPS crap).

Can we merge this discussion with this thread?  Seems the same conversation is going on in two places! :)

I remain cautiously optimistic.
